Caities Bubbles LTV, Voskhod Blades, Osage Rub, Gillette Cool Mint Shave Cream, and a partridge in a pear tree...
A "Bigelo" Perkin razor. It hadn't sold at the previous amount of $60-70, so the seller re-listed it with the bidding starting at $30. It didn't sell there either, (because I forgot about it). I contacted the seller and offered to buy it off of him for $30, so he re-listed it at a $30 BIN and sent me a message. Whereupon, I snatched it up. I've been looking for one of these rare razors for the better part of four years. They always seem to end at over $100, which is more than I was willing to spend. Sellers, let this be a lesson to you. A simple spelling error...something as simple as forgetting one letter can cause your posting to go unnoticed. So without further ado, the Bigelow Parkin razor.
No history at all buying or selling it was a red flag but I was blinded by the reflection of the gold in my eye
I keep calling the guys number everyday and get a recording I guess eventually it won't take my calls anymore
The rascal! Don't be so hard on your self every seller has to have a first sale. Unfortunately in this case it looks like he proably had a devious plan to skip the country with your money and start a new life. A mysterious red headed woman was probably involved.
You are paying a premium for good photographs, quality assurance, and brick and mortar overhead. I think most of those razors are purchased as gifts for men from their lady friends.
A "Vintage Gillette Flare Tip TTO Date Code D-2 Double Edge Safety Razor". Crappy seller's pic, but I thought it had a neat handle.
