No history at all buying or selling it was a red flag but I was blinded by the reflection of the gold in my eye
I keep calling the guys number everyday and get a recording I guess eventually it won't take my calls anymore
The rascal! Don't be so hard on your self every seller has to have a first sale. Unfortunately in this case it looks like he proably had a devious plan to skip the country with your money and start a new life. A mysterious red headed woman was probably involved.
You are paying a premium for good photographs, quality assurance, and brick and mortar overhead. I think most of those razors are purchased as gifts for men from their lady friends.
A "Vintage Gillette Flare Tip TTO Date Code D-2 Double Edge Safety Razor". Crappy seller's pic, but I thought it had a neat handle.
Thanks! Already scored one nice one, heading out for honing. Trying to find history on it, but not a lot of luck. Looking forward to trying one.
Why me? Why?! Here's my Gift & Care tracking status.... Broken? Label issue? This is one of those black hole exceptions...
It looks like they used registered mail, which should maintain an unbroken chain of custody. If you have a tracking number, you can call the station and ask if they can better explain the exception.
First thing tomorrow morning, because of the registered mail and the chain of custody I'm confident there won't be an issue.
Friedrich Schlemper. Incorporated in 1925 in Solingen-Merscheid. Had five main, know, brand names: 'Brennpunkt Solingen', 'Capitol', 'DK Prior', 'Focus', 'Kapitol'. The Focus line came with various colored scales, such as this one: or like this It appears that most of the FOCUS razors were also stamped with a three-digit code - 191, 224, etc - but I notice yours does not have any designation like that which might mean it's an early offering in that product line. Best thing is - of the comments I've read online it's a great shaver
