    Gillette Heavy Tech / Derby
Semogue / Santa Maria del Fiore
WH / shea butter / Nivea Sensitive ASB

This is my 4th day with the Derby blade and it is still producing a great shave. Nice and sharp and smooth. No nicks, no weepers. Some time ago I said the RazoRock Santa Maria del Fiore was on my "won't buy again list". Yesterday, I watched a couple of videos on this soap and based on the rave reviews of the Youtubers I decided it needed a second chance. And it is really a nice soap. I loaded my brush in the container (last few times I scooped an almond size glob and palm lathered) and then did a face lather. Worked much better. Nice product. I do like the scent. It just goes to show...never say never.:chores016:

Blade seemed a little smoother on day 2. Near BBS all over but feeling a little irritation from the aftershave.

I had a very nice and relaxing lavender shave this morning...........
After my shower I applied a lavender infused hot towel over a layer of Barbasol yellow shave cream for about 3 minutes to soften the whiskers. I'm really enjoying the hot towel treatment especially in these winter months.

Is that a bakelite slant ? I think im going to get one of the Fine Accoutrements Superlite Slant Razors when they come out.

Yes. It's a bakelite slant. I bought at ebay a couple of years. No doubt it's a great razor.

How are the Tungsten blades do they really last longer than any other DE blade and are they sharp ? Elegant wood handle on the brush. Nice marbling and old world look.
