Third shave with the GSB and it is still as smooth and as sharp as ever, I understand why so many people love this blade now. It's smooth and its cuts through the stubble effortlessly, two passes and I have a shave that is closer then 3 passes with other blades. No nicks, no weepers, no irritation. The Amici soap has an awesome grapefruit scent and makes a lather that won't quit. Wishing you all a great shave this fine day!

    Prep: Hot Shower. Noxzema
    Razor: Blackland Blackbird
    Blade: Voskhod
    Lather: RazoRock One X
    Brush: RazoRock Plissoft
Post: Thayers Cucumber WH. Gold Bond Ultimate
    Aftershave: RazoRock One X
Wonderful shave. RR One X is fabulous! I had to buy the soap to match the aftershave that I've had. The Blackland Blackbird continues to be a great shaver.

A great shave today using the Palmolive cream for the first time. A nice mild scent, loads of slick cushioning lather and the feather in the Birth Quarter Super Speed moved down the days growth. Finished up with the Aqua Velva to have a shave just like my Dad used to do.

**ps. One of the best shaves ever today. I will use this razor some more and maybe try to fine tune the factors that made this that good. I get what I feel are exceptional shaves every day, but sometimes they are fantastic.**

Still in Thailand. The books are from the 90 volume Pali Canon, the complete Theraveda Sutras of Buddha. The book on the right is a teaching from a Thai Buddhist monk. Now onto the shave:
BLACKBIRD/PERSONNA: probably my least favorite blade with the BB so far.
ENVYSHAVE ALLUMINATI: this knot, and handle, really hits up there with the big boys.
RAZOROCK MUDDER FOCKER: my puck was a bit over hydrated from spending several months in a refrigerator. It's back to it's old self today and I got a sensational lather.
GENTLEMEN'S REFINERY AS: I needed something very gentle after the Personna experience. No nicks or weepers but ever so slightly sensitive after the shave.

This is my third day with the red tip . I had to skip yesterday's shave ful shave due to skin irritated from Monday's shave. All I did yesterday was one pass wtg .
Today's shave was very good. Very slight irritation where I have some razor bumps. There are some hairs I missed, but I stopped just incase I got irritated again
    Razor- red tip
    Blade - Personna blue (2)
    Brush - trader joes synthetic
    Soap - tabac
Post shave - witch hazel, neutrogena balm
Technique order - wtg, atg, xtg
    Cologne - Pinaud bay rum

I decide to try a different approach by doing wtg pass first then atg followed by xtg , I think I'll stick with this the rest of the week. End result was a good smooth shave overall.

Try facial mapping between passes while rewetting your face. Really commit the direction of growth to memory in order to avoid unnecessary passes and or swipes. When you memorize your growth irritation will be avoided. :)

I had a Stellar Dolphin Smooth BBS Result with my Star 1914 today..I got this one NOS sometime ago..These are Ultra Rare & it shaves very much like a Schick Type F Injector for me..I hear is getting purported time & time again that Gem blades are harsh in older SEs for the first few shaves..I have to disagree with that One Big Time..The reason for this is because these Older SEs were designed for an Original Stropping Blade with a thicker spine..Half a Gem spine under the spine of your blade will replicate the Dynamics of the Original Stropping Blade..Smooth as Icing on a Cake..Gem blades are not harsh at All..Its the Dynamics of the Older Razor & the Modern Gem Blade that cause the Harshness..Half a Gem Spine & you have a different Razor in your Hands..I really enjoyed my shave today with the Star 1914..Good karma..:p

I won this last week and finally used it today. It is gold tone, yet very worn. Also one side was not smooth at all. I'll change out the blade for my next shave to rule that out. Decent shave but not my best.
