  2. I had a fine shave this morning with my B1. The razor had a nice glide going and everything just clicked. Even though it was a workday I just zoned out and relaxed. End result was a smooth comfortable shave. The repeating razors are all winners in my book!

  3. I couldn't remember who helped me. My apologies for a fading memory. It's tax season, I can't remember my name half the time. ;-)
  4. I remember cause you told me enough of that Sir Business ..:happy097:

  5. Hello fellow Shave Denizens! It has been awhile since I last posted here, and it has been equally long since I have used my Schick E type injector.
Therefore I decided to have a shave with it. I'm not very handy with this particular razor, so I am glad I took the time tonight to try to improve my technique. Unfortunately, I am still not up to par with my injector technique, because I can only rate this shave as an SAS. There was still some stubble left after this shave.
But it has been nice to read and enjoy this thread again. I'll have to mosey on over here more often. Here's my Injector SOTD-

BBS with the Schick type C2 today. Loaded with a Dutch blade this little razor is as good as it gets. I think the type C is my favorite repeater......

  11. @Herm2502 Here is an older picture of my E2 and a black E4 or E5 ? (not sure). You can see the made in Canada clearly stamped here as opposed to the Pat..info with number of the U.S. version.

  13. Had a good feeling you would know. Do recall readying E5's rarely came with black handle don't know if that is true. Could never pinpoint what the difference between the E4 & E5's were. :thanks:

    Three Pass Shaving Routine..

Hot Water prep & massage with Coconut Oil
    Star 1914
    Gem Stainless Blade (shimmed) New
    Leon Hardy Pure Badger
    French Monsavon Bol Tallow soap
    Thayers Original Witch Hazel

I had a Stellar Dolphin Smooth BBS Result with my Star 1914 today..I got this one NOS sometime ago..These are Ultra Rare & it shaves very much like a Schick Type F Injector for me..I hear is getting purported time & time again that Gem blades are harsh in older SEs for the first few shaves..I have to disagree with that One Big Time..The reason for this is because these Older SEs were designed for an Original Stropping Blade with a thicker spine..Half a Gem spine under the spine of your blade will replicate the Dynamics of the Original Stropping Blade..Smooth as Icing on a Cake..Gem blades are not harsh at All..Its the Dynamics of the Older Razor & the Modern Gem Blade that cause the Harshness..Half a Gem Spine & you have a different Razor in your Hands..I really enjoyed my shave today with the Star 1914..Good karma..:p

  15. I've been inspired by @Hodge 's march through his repeaters so I broke out the C3 today. I've also been thinking that it might be a good idea to start using this in preparation for the Bunny pass-around as I expect it has a similar angle. :happy088: Anyhow, it was a great shave. My last couple of outings left me less than impressed but today's was excellent. Great reduction with each pass - I could have done touch-ups after the second pass - and a nice smooth shave that resulted in the face-rubbing goodness. :happy036:

The difference was switching out the Personna blade for a Schick NOS Super Chromium after the first pass on the first side of my face. The Personna just wasn't doing it. Tuggy in the tough parts and poor reduction overall. Proof (at least to me), once again, that a blade can totally change the experience with a razor.
And how cool is it to load the blade with the plunger? Sweet. :git:

  17. DOH! I guess if it says "Made in Canada" that would be a tip-off, huh? You'd think I'd just look at my razor, but sometimes the simplest solutions are the most elusive. I will look, thank you.

  18. I haven't used all the various repeaters, but I do know my C3 is "Too Cool for School..." In fact, just last night I was once again amazed at what a great shave I got from mine....I don't know what more I could ask from a razor...:happy108:

The good people at Schick along with the good Col. himself sure got it all right very early on....The Pat'ds on this one seem to all be In Octavius Rodrigues' name, although it is obviously a variation on an earlier theme by Col. Schick...And it really is a Masterpiece. So far ahead of it's time....no one has caught up to it yet!

@Karl G , there seems to be Schick Repeater Love in the Air today.....:love055:....
