I volunteered at the tram museum today. I usually go only on saturdays, but since the season starts in four weeks and there is a lot to be finished before that time, I started to go on wednesdays as well. Done some painting and cleaned some glass showcases. And was told that I will be allowed to follow a steam engine engineer course! It will start by end of March and will last until May or something thereabouts. Then I will be able to start as fireman on the engine and eventually (after theoretical and practical tests) I will be able to ride the trams myself! Yeey! This is one of the locs and two of the carriages (there are more 'modern' locs and carriages as well):
I found a 1940s rocket in my shave drawer today! I didn't know I had one of these kicking around! Needless to say I'm pretty happy!
A very sad day in our house. Our beautiful dog Maggie of 15 years took a turn for the worse tonight and we had her put down. RIP Maggie..
I'm so sorry, Kerry. Oh good! You'll be able to attend the TSD cruise next year. (I have an Eastern Caribbean cruise booked for Feb 2017)
So sorry to hear that. That is the hardest things I have ever had to do is put my dogs down. It never gets easier. But then I think about all of they unconditional love they give the family and it makes me feel better. My thoughts are with you and your family tonight. Tom
So sorry, Kerry That hurts ... we dread the day one of our four-legged friends will leave us - they're both 15 now as well.
So sorry for you and your family, Kerry! Looks like she was a real sweetie! Sending prayers and warm thoughts.
Thank you so much. Gosh, Maggie was the perfect dog in every way. I always felt that my family was protected when I wasn't home, she will be missed dearly. Many great memories.
Thank you so much. We knew that this day was coming but it didn't make it any easier, Maggie will live on in our hearts.
Thank you so much. You are so right about the unconditional love! That unconditional love made our decision easier because we didn't want her to suffer.
Kerry, I'm so sorry brother. As a dog lover and owner I know what your feeling. My sincere sympathies.
A pet does become part of the family. Sorry for your loss. Focus on the joy Maggie brought. In time it will be the positives you will remember her by.
