Thursday's TESC Pre-Shave Oil Proraso Green Shaving Soap Jayaruh #40 Ubersoft 2 Gillette Red Tip Personna Blue CWR, Asma Alum Block Thayers Rose Petal WH Aqua Velva Ice Blue The Proraso Green Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #40 Ubersoft 2 synthetic brush. Two passes with my Gillette Red Tip razor and a Personna Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Aqua Velva After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
I'm sort of going Dutch on Thursday morning: Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/Astra day 4 De Vergulde Hand SS Italian Barber Amici AS Just a light touch of menthol from the Amici aftershave and that's it, that's all. It's been too long since I'm used my De Vergulde Hand soap from Holland. What an awesome scent - so exotic, yet so traditional, such great lather, and a good post-shave feeling. It's going to be a very cold day, so I'm going easy on the freezie!

Thanks! I was running out of options on the handle so cerakote was a good choice! It's my favorite handle style of Toby's.
Thursday Planned SOTD Razor: Edwin Jagger DE86811GBL Blade: Super Iridium (D1) Brush: Romera Rustic Chubby 26mm Manchurian Bowl: Corbell Pedestal Bowl 4" Pre Shave Scrub: MRGLO Pre Shave Oil: Homemade Lavender\Sandalwood Shave Soap: Barrister & Mann Cologne Russe Post: Monster Alum Block Aftershave: Barrister & Mann Cologne Russe The EJ DE86811GBL I bought almost 1.5 years ago and has sat on the shelf all this time unused looking pretty with it black and god finish. The handle is octagon in shape and quite easy to grip. Decided enough was enough and have to use this razor at least once even though for me the DE89 series tend to be on the mild side for me. Also figured it was time to use the Cologne Russe Aftershave as it has been on the shelf for two weeks and have to say the Russe is my favorite aroma from B&M.
Williams & Cremo Marvy Omega No.98 Suribachi bowl Gillette 195 '59 @4 Rapira SSS blade (1st) Lucky Tiger AS & Tonic Having enjoyed Cremo and Vintage Williams they got paired up to double check my impression. The cream adds to the mix but needed the larger base of soap. Or a smoother bowl. Still a snappy tune I'd dance to again. My 1st time with a Swedish (Russian?) SuperSteel in my favorite DE delivered an irritation free W,X,&ATG DFS with no touch-up needed. No negative report from the alum block. A generous shot of Lucky Tiger that fades quickly, but leaves an acceptable face feel. A shot of Perry Ellis Aqua continued the citrus, drying down to a fresh outdoorsy shadow of a scent. A 9/10 performance worth repeating. Hoping yours was an enjoyable.
I didnt realize they had a matching soap. I really like the aftershave and have been pairing it with Tabac EdT.

SOTD Thu. 2/18/16 Pre Shave Cleanser: Noxzema Classic Cleanser Pre Shave Oil: Dollar General Vitamin E Shave Soap: Proraso Green Shave Brush: RR Disruptor Synthetic Razor: Evahs CC Blade: Polsilver Iridium After Shave Balm: Stirling Mita Soap: Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap Cologne: Acqua Di Selva By Visconti Di Modrone Good morning everyone. Very fun shave this morning with the Evahs. The long handle and overall balance on this razor makes it so easy to use and perfect for difficult areas. Three passes today wtg, xtg, atg for a BBS finish no touchups needed. Proraso for me is such a perfect cream for face lathering. It's very easy to customize it to my needs and likes. Very good coverage and layering with it and the cooling effect is so nice. Have a wonderful shave and a wonderful day guys.
