This shave was wonderful - smooth as silk as well as very comfortable. The De Vergulde Hand soap is the oldest on the market because it's been around for more than 450 years, so I 'd say the company is doing something right. It's very cheap in Holland but it can teach a lot of the more expensive soaps how to lather and perform, as well as how to smell nice. The Amici aftershave is one of the best aftershaves I've ever used. Its scent is awesome and it gives a mild cooling effect! :happy088: :happy088:

    Razor-1957 Blue Tip
    Blade-Feather
    Brush-Strongset, WD black badger
    Soap-Maggard Mango Sage Tea

My first shave with a Blue Tip (birth year) and my first shave with a Feather blade. Since I knew the Blue Tip is on the milder side I thought it would be a great time to try a Feather blade. I immediately could tell that you have to respect the Feather. I noticed how quickly the feedback disappeared because of the blade doing its job. Result was a nice DFS, no closer because of my caution and the mildness if there razor. The Blue Tip did a nice job and felt comfortable. Have a great day![IMG]

    Prep: Warm shower
    Blade: Personna lab blue (3)
Razor: Maggard MR1 handle with V2 open comb
Brush: Satin Tip 'The Purest' synthetic
Lather: Ginger's Garden Salty Mariner shave soap
Post: Witch hazel splash, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

Another nice, easy, and comfortable CCS this morning. One pass with touch-up gets the job done on weekdays. The Ginger's Garden soap is really great stuff. It lathers in just a few seconds and makes a great, cushiony, protective lather. I have really enjoyed using it the past few days.

I ended up with two tiny weepers on my chin, but the cold rinse and witch hazel took care of that. All in all a nice shave.

Go out and enjoy your Thursday!
