I didn't shave on Wednesday so I had a fair amount of stubble to mow down this morning. Long story short, I had a fantastic shave that still feels very smooth now several hours later.

Forgive the question, I didn't know anyone here was in opera are those pics of you on stage? Are you playing Don Jose?

I dream of seeing Carmen someday...until then I have to satisfy that desire by listening to the production with Andrea Bocelli, that I have on CD.

    Couldn't resist asking....I'm a HUGE opera fan!!

I've been missing having a great shave with my PAL Injecto Matic. I'd experimented with multiple blades in it the last several uses and ended up with disappointing shaves - or at least shaves not quite as good as with a plain old Schick. So, despite only one shave on the Schick NOS Super Chromium I replaced it with a Schick and had that wonderful shave I've been missing. :happy088:

Super reduction after only two passes and a fabulous, super close shave after three. I paid extra attention to keeping an extremely light touch, just enough to hold it with. Basically I just let the razor glide across my face. Nothing else needs to be said. :happy036:

Thank you Luke. I am the stage director for this production, so you won't find me on stage. I did spend about 30 years on stage singing leading tenor roles all over the world. Glad that you're an opera fan.

Scuttle: Steve Woodhead Ceramics, large Suribachi.
Pre-shave: Superdrug Forest Fresh pre-shave cologne.
Soap: Phoenix and Beau tallow sample.
    Brush: Razorock 24mm Plissoft.
Razor: Gillette New Standard (New Improved).
    Blade: Astra SP (3).
Post: Boots tea tree & witch hazel lotion, Nivea sensitive balm, Nivea Crème.

This razor makes very easy work of my hard-to-clear areas but it's considerably more aggressive than my long comb English New RFB and I have to be careful which blade I use. The Astra SP resulted in a few weepers but nothing the styptic pen couldn't easily sort out. I think 7 O'clock greens (Super Stainless) are my limit for comfort in this particular razor (I'm hoping Voskhods are just as comfortable).

Still, it was a very enjoyable and extremely close BBS. This soap really is extremely good.

Thanks! I thought it'd be fun to do a quick setup shot. I might arrange some decent lighting too next time.
