Schick type C1 - open comb repeater
    Dutch Schick blade(3)
    New Forest Alpolina Tubby brush
    Antica Barbieria Colla shaving croap
    Myrsol Plastic Shave AS

Ive had some of the best shaves this week using the ABC shaving cream. The ABC makes great lather, is nice and slick, but the post shave feel is really where is outshines everything else Ive tried. I think I'll try their aftershave lotion next.

    SUNDAY PLANNED SOTD

    Razor-Merkur 39c "Sledgehammer"
    Blade-Astra SP
    Brush-Strongset w/WD black badger knot
    Soap-Maggard Mango Sage Tea
    AS-Pinaud Clubman

My first shave with the 39c. I've heard many of you talk about this slant, so I'm excited. My first impression is that this thing is BIG. Easily heavier than my Fat Boy, on par with my Ikon 102 with the OSS handle. But an the old school look. I don't think my beard will stand a chance![IMG]

Yes that would make sense. It seems unlikely Schick would have their own factory running in Germany since their injector blades are made in China. They seem to outsource the manufacturing to someone else. And, the results with the Schick are remarkably close to Wilkinson. Any difference in performance is most likely a difference in coatings.

    February Focus - German blades

    February 20

    Razor - Schick Krona
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
    Brush - BoS Omega 10066
    Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post - Cold rinse, Alum, The Veg

Second day with the Schick Premium and Krona combo. This blade is really quite good and I think paired with a more aggressive razor might show off even a bit more than it is with the Krona. There is nothing to complain about, though, other than the lack of BBS which isn't all that critical to me. Yes I rate blades on whether or not BBS is achievable, but for my everyday purposes a high level DFS is more than sufficient.

Three passes got me to that very high end DFS without any roughness, drag or anything other than a nice smooth shave. And, again, the alum was very quiet. Perfect shave to add the Mighty Veg to and hit the sales floor running on a Saturday. Again, no BBS but only a 1/2 stein reduction. That leaves 4.5 again for this blade. Great way to start the day.

I listen, watched about 50 minutes of your performance. Beautiful. I streamed it on my big screen tv in my living room and in surround sound, i thoroughly enjoyed it! Even though I had no idea what you were saying your voice told the story. I hope that makes sense?
    Thank you for sharing!

Razor: Canadian Schick Injector E Type
Blade: Personna Electron microscopy Sciences (EMS) supplied blade (1)
    Brush: Stirling Kong
    Soap: Stirling Gatlinburg
Post: Cold water rinse, Witch Hazel, Fine Platinum

So Saturday's shave was the first with the Personna blades from EMS. They are Stainless Steel "PTFE" Coated 0.010" thick, packed 20 blades in a dispenser. After shipping they were about $11.50 so a little cheaper than the Chinese Schick's per blade. Buying in a greater quantity would also prove much cheaper per blade but I just wanted the one dispenser to see if they would be as effective as the Chicks. If so they are a great deal. If not then not much lost on trying.

A touch more irritation than usual but still a near BBS shave. Will be interesting to see how the blade progresses and whether it gets smoother after a shave or two.

Just watched some of your performance. I am always impressed by anyone that can sing but an truly in awe of your talent. Magnificent! Kerry really did hit the nail on the head that while I had no idea what you were singing the way you sang it told the story.

    That Goose looks so nice!

The Bay rum has more alcohol than the original recipe, so it fits quite well with your findings. :)

I knew you couldn't resist a good shave!! haha :D
