Glad you asked. One of the TSD denizen's (@twhite) has designed and machined a home made razor (nick-named The Bunny) that has gotten a lot of attention from many and early acclaim from one of the most discerning injector users on any forum (@Billyfergie )

You can check it out on the Home Made Injector thread - or click on the link in my signature and then click through to the thread via the link in my post. It's been a great ride following it all from idea to version three. @twhite has made a number available for pass arounds in different areas of the world.

Great writeup Billy. I think I have some of these blades. I will have to find a holder so that I may strop them and try a shave.

Today I bought out my VC4 and a fresh feather SS blade. The shave was pretty good but I don't think that the feather blades are all that they should be. The VC4 is reportedly the mildest of the series but the VC2 I have is the same shave wise. I'm probably going to modify this razor so I can put a GEM blade in it.
Later on, since I have a NOS Valet strop and a pack of NOS blades I want to follow Billy's lead and do it the traditional way and strop up a blade for the VC4 and give that a shot. These are fun razors to play with and if I can get the right blade in it it could be a great razor.

I thought maybe a picture of my injector collection would be interesting.... I don't have a bunch but I've a few decent ones! That is not a type O, it's a knockoff....

The Alpa Fougere is great stuff - if you're looking for a classic fougere scent, this is it. It is labeled a cologne but it is light and can be splashed on like an aftershave without it being overpowering. It really goes well with the Valobra soap.

Even better, it comes in a huge bottle for a very reasonable price.

You can order it from Shoebox Shave Shop. (shoeboxshaveshop.com)

Hello TSD. ;) Dusted off my Bullet Tip today:

    2202.jpg

    - Mixed soap leftovers
    - Semogue OC badger
    - GEM Micromatic Bullet Tip
    - GEM Stainless blade
    - Homemade Bay Rum AS

Nice shave, though I have been a little overconfident with the GEM. The Bullet Tip is pretty mild, but it CAN bite if you don't pay attention. I didn't - and paid for that with a few tiny blood spots. Nothing serious though - two passes left my face 50% BBS, the rest is DF, I'd say. And I like my homebrewn AS - though I probably won't use it in the summer months. Smells too much like christmas ;)

    Have a great day :happy088:
