SuperSpeed for me. I had the Merkur, it was my first DE razor, I didn't really get good shaves from it.
I gave up cartridge razors in 2006.
I have that same razor although the plating on mine is badly worn, especially on the silo doors. Still, it shaves great.
Slim adjustable, Red Tip SS, and fat handle Tech.
I prefer the softer feel of the 610. I face lather exclusively.
Shave sticks. My favorite way to use shaving soap.
You may be best off with a two band. The Semogue SOC and Shavemac knots are really nice.
I have 4 Semogue boar brushes and I've never had problems getting 3 passes. Use more product, load longer.
My preference is Semogue. Nicer handles and a little softer once broken in.
Palmolive is hard to beat for the price.
