Here we go. I'm 32 married with 2 kids. I am into rockabilly and oldies music. Hot rods (rat rods). Never used a straight razor before. Trying to figure out what to do for a new career. I work part time now delivering medical stuff. I had my own remodeling business, but it went down hill with the economy. Considering barber school. Don't see how I can afford it though. That's how I came to be interested in the straight shave. Been doing a lot of reading on it. I keep coming back to this site. So I figured I might as well register. Bidding on a shave brush and a Boker King Cutter on the Bay. Keep getting out bid on everything so far.

Welcome! One word of advice: I bid on a few razors on the 'bay and was outbid every time (what a let down!...so, I lucked into someone trying to unload a large razor collection and was able to buy what I wanted. The point is: check the classified section here and, when you can, post a Want to Buy (WTB) thread and maybe you'll get lucky as I did. Even if you don't find what you want right away this is a great community to learn in and to find things to try.
