1. What's the difference between a nick and a weeper? Which one is it if it takes 20 minutes of direct pressure to stop the bleeding? :angry017:

  2. A nick will take longer to stop the flow of blood than a weeper.
    Nicks bleed right away; a weeper may not.
  3. wouldn't that be a gusher?
  4. LOL :happy096::happy097::happy102::happy108:
    Those are what I get....maybe too many blood thinners.:angry019::shaver

  7. I guess the way I always thought of it was: Nick = you know it immediately, feel it and is usually shaped like a line. Where as, Weeper = you don't feel it, starts slowly and is usually a tiny dot of the red.

  8. This.

    Pink lather is the similarity.
  9. I'm glad I found this. I have only used the term nick when in all actuality they have all been weepers.
  10. Doesnt make sense to me. I would think weeper implies liquid being released.
  11. You are correct.
    And isn't blood a liquid? With a weeper it is just at a very slow leak. :)

    Think of a tire with a slow leak (weeper) vs. a complete blow out (nick).

  12. Weepers aren't always apparent. Sometimes they show up as just a little dried blood. Nicks take immediate attention though. I had one big one when I used a shavette.
  13. Ive had only one nick in that case. It was by a MMOC while using a terrible soap.

  20. A wonderful tool. I never even heard of one until I started shaving with a SR. I don't know how I got by without it all these years.
