1. Liking my TOBS Oud shaving cream more and more, the scent I mean. Quite exotic

I just wish the scent stuck around a bit longer

Not sure if it is the real deal as far as Oud goes but it has made me more interested...

Any suggestions for a good Oud ASL or EdP that's not too pricey?

    Taylor of Old Bond Street
    Art of Shaving.

    Both very good.
  3. Thank you for your reply and the link to that thread

I search Oud etc but the search box wants more than 3 letters!

I like my TOBS shaving cream, the scent doesn't last long into the day, hoping to find more of the same in an aftershave product

Will have a look at the mentions in the linked thread you sent :happy088:

  4. Chris, if you want real Oud, that'll be pricey. Otherwise what you will get with 99.9% of "Oud" products are aroma chemicals. Now, they can be nice, but in the end, they do NOT really smell like oud. They smell more like pencil shavings, especially the AoS Oud shaving cream.
I happen to have some experience with oud.
There is NO soap available that uses real oud. You can get an oud cologne, which costs around $70.00 that, imo, smells exactly like the oud oils I have.
It is called Dehn el Oudh Malaki

It is a terrific "base" to layer other scents. Sandalwood, rose, etc.
The price is reasonable so if you hate it, you haven't broken the bank.
  5. I'd say Agadir comes close to real Oud(course it's Oud WOOD). AgadirMen.com

  8. I went to a store that specialized in OUD products. It was crazy expensive, but smelled really nice. It was interesting to sample the variety of custom OUD Colognes. I didnt but anything, but came out smelling pretty good, the rest of the day.

  10. Wish I hsd the $$$. Until then, AgadirMen it is(course Doc Ezlovan did a nice job with his Oud dupe at Stoylin).
  11. Thanks Primo, looks cool too, (won't ship to where I live)

    Again, won't ship..

    Great source of info

There are some Oz online outlets, but as mentioned already, that would be costly and buying an unknown product
Will need to think laterally on this one!
  12. Well I found some, 20 minutes up the road in my home town of Perth, makes sense with the multicultural communities here

    Arabic Oudh

    Oud oil imported from Saudi

Blended locally, lots to choose from, best to be able to sample these in person

    More fun!

  13. Enough Oudh for now....!

    I suppose it's like coffee

Different profiles depending on the region and species of origin
  14. Does that mean you don't want us to talk about Oudh anymore, ore that you HAVE enough for now?

  15. I have my Oud Wood out for next week(AgadirMen).
  16. The Oudh I have,
    Enough for now

    The Oudh I would
    Have had before

    Not had the wood
    To buy before

    Ne'er thought to have
    So much as this

    The Oudh, the wood
    The Scent, such bliss
