I think we all sympathise with your situation. It is very tempting to try all the different products. My aim is to find one product I like and stick to it. I'm quite a minimalist. I'm satisfied with my brush. I'm sort of happy with my razors although I would like to try a slant and a straight. I'm happy with Erasmic soap and cream. I'm nearly there with blades. Pretend your from Ceredigion and not from Ynys Mon and the urge to spend money will become less intense.
My practices that help me avoid this 1) I do not purchase anything unless I throw out something else 2) Discontinued items - I alow myself to purchase something that has been discontined (my recent purchase of Tom's of Main shave cream fits here) 3) Needs to fill a capability that doesn't currently exist in the shave den (recently bought a hone, did not have one and I am looking for a straight razor, sort of needed to learn to straight shave)
