GEMonday, March23-2020, A few of us decided to use our GEM G-bars today and mine was in storage for sometime(out of site out of mind). On a three pass shave this little razor works well but on a 2 pass is pushing CCS, DFS shave for me. So today was a 3 pass shave and the results were in my sweet spot.

Razor: Gem G bar - MFG 1953-58
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (7)
Soap: Razorock "The Dead Sea"
Brush: Yaqi timberwolf 24 mm - great brush to use!
Pre-shave : brush wash my entire face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera Gel on beard area.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 3.
Post shave : Razorock " The Dead Sea" aftershave with with witch Hazel + Nivea balm.
Results : CCS,DFS,BBS + minimal irritation + 1 blemish weeper reopened = OK shave in my books!

Razor: Oneblade Core Version 2 - MFG 2018> great daily driver!
Blade : Gem SS PTFE modified(7)
Soap: Razorock XXX
Brush: Razorock Noir 400 synthetic- great brush.
Preshave: Brush wash the whole face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of clear Aloe vera gel on beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 3.
Postshave : Razorock XXX aftershave witch Hazel + Nivea balm.
Results : CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers =great shave after 2 day growth.

I totally agree, the dead sea may be my favorite soap/aftershave, spa day in a jar.

Razor: Gem Junior Parade with baton handle variant - Mfg 1943 one of my favorites!
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (9) great blade!
Soap: Razorock Don Marco - excellent citrus scented soap.
Brush : Razorock Plissoft synthetic going strong for the last 3 1/2 yrs. Excellent brush!
Pre shave : brush wash my whole face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of clear aloe vera gel on beard area.
Prep : cold water rinse after each pass of 3.
Post shave: Razorock Emperor aftershave with witch hazel + Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = just a great shave today!

Have to end the month with my favorite... The Dead Sea.

First go with the Razorock boar, and it was quite enjoyable. Matched with one of my favorite razors... just awesome.

Brush: Razorock Noir Plissoft 400 - excellent brush - closest brush to real boar brush IMO.
Pre shave: Brush wash my face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep : cold water rinse after each pass of 3.
Post shave: Razorock "The Dead Sea" aftershave with witch Hazel + Nivea Men balm> very nice stuff.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = Excellent shave- does not get much better for Myself and in my sweet spot target!!

I have some Acqua splash but for what ever reason it does not agree with me, has a very cologne lingering scent that lasts.

I was kind of on the other end of the spectrum..really enjoyed the scent, but seemed a little short lived.

I'd appreciate it if those of you who own multiple Razorock soap bases to compare them. The reason being is that I purchased the only Razorock soap I own, Acqua, based on the ingredients list that included tallow and lanolin. The ingredients seemed in line with the Stirling formula that I love, so I figured I'd give it a shot; however, the Razorock Acqua tallow formula performs nothing like Stirling or the other thicker, creamier soaps in my rotation.

Soap: Razorock XXX - very enjoyable scented soap with great lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi Tuxedo knot 24 mm Sagrada Familia named after a great Cathedral in Barcelona Spain.
Pre-shave: Brush wash my face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Post shave : Razorock XXX with witch Hazel +Nivea for Men balm.
Results : CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = Smooth great shave!Hit my sweet spot target area!
