You have a G1 injector. It has 2 patent numbers on the razor head on the left, that is how you know for sure it is a G# injector with that style spring. Since it has the case if the dates are correct on that website then the packaging makes it a 1950 - 53.

AU 30 is market range for that razor with the case and shipped so you definitely didn't overpay.

  4. You only have about 3 or 4 options for those razors.

First are the standard Schick blades. You'll have to look around for a vendor but you should be able to find one on ebay that ships worldwide.

The next 2 either ebay or Connaught shaving since they do stock them are the Personna blades or the Schick Proline B-20 blades. If you buy Proline B-20 blades make sure you have an extra key since the package isn't designed to inject the blades into the razor. You'll need to reload the blades into that extra injector key first before using.

Finally though I am not sure if this particular injector can use them is the Schick II twin blades. You'll most likely have to source those from a vendor based out of Japan either on ebay or rakuten.

  5. I don't think the Type G can accept the twin blades.

  6. There is one other blade to consider which are what are called Japanese Schick blades. They are supposed to be different blades from the standard Chinese made Schick blades. You'll most likely have to source these through Rakuten just do a search for chic injector and you'll get results for them and the Schick II twin blades.

This is what the packaging looks like.

  7. Twinjector double blades will work in any Schick model H or later except for Hydro-magics.

  8. Hi all the razor arrived on Thursday
I'm glad to see its in good nick
it has a black plastic blank where the blade should go
now I'm wondering if it has ever been used.
I have a pack of 20 personna blades on the way to try it out
(this pic was pre case buffing)

  9. You may be the first to use your "new" razor.
Although it's possible someone put a blade blank in it.
The purpose of the blank is to make it easier to insert a blade.
    Nice score!

  13. When you say "cutting wheel" what is it you are referring to?

    Thanks!

  14. Its a stitched cloth wheel that helps remove light scratches on metal and hard plastic
after this I use a buffing wheel to polish the item up
if you compare the pic with the razor and blade blank you can see the difference in the razor and case
but it won't work on heavy scratch surfaces

  15. Ah, yes! I used to work in a pawn shop and we had an arrangement similar to that we used to buff and polish gold jewelry. Used red jewelers rouge to put the final polish on it.

  16. As I discovered this is how sellers fix up old plastic cases and razors to sell as NOS items
