Just received my Tatara Razor with both Standard Bar and Open Comb plates. 1st of all this is one of the nicest looking razors, modern, clean looking design. As far as the shave goes for me it is perfect. Not too mild not too aggressive, smooth with either plate and very efficient. As efficient as a Blackbird and as smooth as a Timeless. An observation and a question. The handle reminds me of a feminine hygiene product. What does this razor do that my OLD type or pre-war Tech won't do?
Any razor with good technique will get the job done it's a matter of personal preference and some razors do shave more efficiency than others. If your happy with your Tech than stay with it. The OC looks pretty good, looks like a copy of a Gillette SC New with sharp corners and no curved surfaces.

I wasn't saying anything negative, I just meant the general appearance of the machined surfaces makes it look more like a stealth aircraft than an old Electra airplane.
I think it looks sweet. Like an extruded golf ball and the base plates look really cleanly made. You have a looker!
This razor definitely looks very intriguing and it would be nice to add it to my collection as it is made in my home country.
