1. I have done that myself. I always check for tightness now.
    Also, back in 1971 I had been shaving with a Wilkinson Sword Bonded razor. I believe it was the first or one of the first cartridge razors. It was one blade set in plastic that snapped into its handle. I had just changed blades and was starting my first pass on my left temple. OUCH! What have I done!! I took a hunk of skin out of the side of my head. After I attended the bleeding, I inspected the razor cartridge and found that the blade was set at an angle. It was a manufacturing defect. That was the last time I shaved with the Wilkinson Sword razor. I went back to my Schick L. To this day, that spot on the side of my head is still tender.

  3. I've done it. Forgot to make sure the cap was screwed down tight, and the first scrape nearly took off my face. lol Talk about an aggressive shave... :eek:

  18. With me, it happens when I'm passing the razor from hand to hand, or rotating it to switch sides. If I don't pay attention to my pinkie, it'll start to turn the base knob. That's from a black handled SuperSpeed - I don't recall having the problem with the 40's style or the Aristocrat.
