Well, The tomato Juice failed miserably and it was no longer fit to drink. I did smell like a bottle of Ketchup for about 24 hours afterwards. I do like a warm lather. That seems to arouse the stink molecules to action. I have been soaking the brush with aftershave since my tomato juice debacle. I have 7 brushes. One for each day of the week. Monday is Horse hair day. The day of cold the lather. Tomorrow I have going to warm up Dobbin for a change. Mickey
My Van Der Hager shave set should be delivered Wednesday and I will give the vinegar a try on the Badger brush along with a bath in shampoo, to finish it off.
I prefer Ketchup unless of course I am having Fish and Chips. You must have Malt Vinegar for your Fish and chips.
Try a little Vicks Vapo-Rub in each nostril. It works for dead bodies, it will work for stinky brushes.
Pet shampoo or Axe shampoo and conditioner the to get rid of that smell, I lather my TOBS with it and leave it lathered overnight. Works for me!

Awesome tutorial! Being rather frugal and enjoying the DIY side of things I offer to you the recipe I use for DIY OXY clean as the the name brand stuff is waaaay to expensive for what it is. Homemade Oxiclean 1/4cup baking soda 1/4cup washing soda 1/2 cup hydrogen peroxide 1 cup water
Great tutorial. I usually put my new brush next to my turntable and play George Clinton LP's on reverse.
