Good question, I don't know, I'll have to ask Neil if he knows.

I hope there are more because I think a heritage razor warrants side-by-side comparison vs say a stand-alone review or a review with rex and pearl. lol, but I also like simple speak. the questions I have are simple comparisons between the two. Such as how is the handle, the knob, the shave, the feel and look of it? Are the settings similar? The under the microscope stuff isn't in my wheelhouse. I don't use serviceable degrees of use or record geometry angles of my razors so I'm usually skipping these types of reviews because those reviews are for another crowd of reviewees. this isn't a slight on anyone or a review, I'm just hoping to see additional reviews on this razor come out with comparisons.

Sure. I think the basic look and feel (handling) they've got down well. The goal was not to precisely reproduce the shave however so I wouldn't expect , as Neil confirmed , gap and exposure to match up on the two razors. It's absolutely not a clone (and parts are not interchangeable).

You mentioned the handle and the knob, what are your issues with them?

Knob is fine. But unlike the Gibbs you have to loosen the handle to make an adjustment which I find annoying. Neil believes the upside to this is you have a greater range of adjustment in the aggressive direction if you don't fully tighten the handle. My opinion is that it's not worth annoying the majority for some small minority who "need" an adjustment to 12.

Hey thanks for the info jeff. I dont know who Neil is, but tell him Jorge says that i like the look of the razor and if he could cerakote or durakote it in gold, he will be have a close match to the No17 as well!

Wow...i love it. I have the original Gibbs but i would buy the replica because it is much more easy to use blades without any modifications on the blade. No i need to get informations, where to buy it...

Thanks to @Jorvaljr I was able to make this video. I'll be sending Jorge's Gibbs back home next week, along with my Heritage for him to try out. I'm curious to see his thoughts as a long-time Gibbs user.

Note that the version I'm using is the Brass variant, not the aluminum like I mention in the video.

Good job. Were the modified blades of the snipped or notched variety?

They were snipped. Those 3D inserts from Frugal Shave keep the blades properly aligned no matter which method you use.

Aaron does quite a few things that aren't popular enough to put on the Etsy site. I would just send him a message via the Etsy site. He's also active on Facebook.

Holy cow! That's amazing. Almost a bit painful to watch. I'm one for using stuff, not keeping it mint. I cracked open a NOS Super Adjustable a few years ago without even thinking about it much. But for some reason this seems different...

Anyone else notice the numbers weren't painted?

Maybe a cost cutting measure in the last years :) . Not commonly seen.
