I understand from Wikipedia that some single edge blades can be re-sharpended. Is this true? How does one go about doing this? Wikipedia mentioned something about a strop and/or some sort of small device. Can someone fill me in on this one?
Leave it alone... Buy some SE blades (shaving type) from your local Wal-Mart, pharmacy , or Ted Pella and... Enjoy your shave... The blades they refer to were designed for stropping (similar to a straight) and unless you buy some from a vendor that sell that type ( they will be very old)... Hard to come by and hardly worth the effort...
there are also small machines designed to sharpen double edge blades. I saw quite a few of them as a browsed the antique stores this summer.
DE and SE blades are cheap in comparison... Wouldn't waste my time buying something to sharpen them... They get dull, toss them and put in a fresh one...
