    Just the Basics June!!

    June 30

Razor - Gillette New Deluxe SC
    Blade [IMG] (1)
    Soap - Stirling Sheep [IMG]
Brush - 2019 Meet UP LE
    Post - Alum

Let's take June out with a Sheep Sunday shave, shall we? I'll switch to the Gillette New Deluxe SC in its glorious new replate, mix in a Voskhod and set up for total success. Lay down some Stirling Sheep with the meet-up brush (I still have 6 of these available for $30 - how in the WORLD do I still have 6 of these gorgeous brushes.....somebody needs to buy themselves a brush out there) and take a nice leisurely trip through three passes. I did shave my head ahead of this shave so I'm kind of in the zen of the moment anyway. The ultra-slick and cushy mutton tallow soap provided the perfect glide and I really didn't need all three passes, just kept going because I could. Baby is in the house, my face feels fantastic and the alum is quiet. Thus ends June and I couldn't have ended it better.

Monday looms. Don't let it get you down. Jump all over it and have a great week! And a great new month too!

Great shave, from a German made razor. I had a very sharp and smooth, 2 pass shave, that left me feeling BDBS. Zero issues, just a fine shaving razor.

Razor- "Adoration", by Giesen & Forsthoff. Solingen Germany
    Brush- Omega 10098 Boar
    Soap- TOBS Eton College
    Aftershave- Pinaud Clubman

Rose shave soap and Tabac splash is an interesting scent combo. I'm imagining it and I bet it comes out good.

This week I move to my Valet VB2 razor. This was the 16th shave with this Valet blade.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The C.O. Bigelow Shave Cream face lathered well with the Jayaruh #371 Badger/Boar brush. I did two passes with the Valet VB2 razor with a Valet AutoStrop SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

The last time I shaved with this beauty it took a flap of skin off of my cheek. Nasty bugger. :angry019: Today it behaved, or at least I was more mindful. Super close shave and I am smooth, smooth, smooth. :happy036:
