    Menthol Monday:
    • 2011 R-41
    • Lord Platinum (2) (anyone notice the wrapper says "platinum class" but the blade says stainless.....)
    • TSD ISZ SS <3
    • 26mm silvertip reknot of a green Ever Ready 200
    • vtg Avon Deep Woods AS
Yet another superior shave for the books from the R-41. I picked up a pack of Feathers from my brother down in Florida and am gonna give them a run in the R-41 in one more shave since dadvest loved it so much. I normally don't do Feathers, but the R-41 has me hopeful.

4.5/5 blades for this one! :)

This has been my best straight shave to date. No nicks, weepers or razor burn with an almost BBS finish. I really am enjoying this razor. The MWF was awesome......very slick and protective!

What a great, chilly, slap me in the face to wake me up and get me going Menthol Monday shave today! :happy036:

I'm working nights this week and my son woke me up to tell me I had a package from JoAnna, but I had forgot all about our little conversation when she said she was going to send me samples of some new product to try out, and I was really stoked when he brought the contents to me and I saw the new Iced SubZero Witch Hazel sample to try out!

I usually use a mixture of Witch Hazel and Osage Rub, but the scent and frigidness of the new Iced SubZero Witch Hazel really knocked my socks off, and continued the Menthol Blast of the Iced SubZero Wheat Cream right on through to the Iced SubZero Aftershave Splash!

:Animatedfrozensmily: Great Shave Today, and a big "THANK YOU" to JoAnna! :) :thanks:

    Oh no, thank you! :)

MUST HAVE MORE! My Witch Hazel/Osage Rub mixture is about all gone, and I'd much rather have Iced SubZero Witch Hazel to replace it. :bounce015:

No-can-do. Zig was rescued by the daughter as a 2 day old. She put in the time to get him to 3 month old. He's my shave bud in the morning and dumber than a sack of hammers. He falls off the piano a lot.

An excellent shave, the blade is super sharp but could do with being a touch smoother. I think a few laps on the Coticule before the next shave are called for.

Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Razor: 1963 Gillete Slim Adjustable*
    Blade: Astra Keramik*
Brush: Simfix Grosvenor LE Two Band Super*
Soap or Cream: P.160 Tipo Duro Soap*
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Wesley & Scott Clove and Peppermint Balm*

My weekly attempt to use products that are no longer being produced resulted in a very fine shave (discontinued products are indicated by asterisks). Newer is not necessarily better, but I am happy that there is lots of good stuff still available to wet shavers.

    It was a late shave

    Assorted soaks/splashes
    Proraso Pre/Post
    Vulfix 404 Mixed
    EJDE89
    Lord Platinum (1)
    Proraso Green SC
    Witch Hazel
    Proraso Pre/Post
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue
    Caswell Massey Jockey Club Talcum

It was a late shave today. I selected a Lord Platinum to break up my streak of Gillette Blues and Yellows. While a hair less sharp, the Lord's still provide a great shave.

I am really enjoying the Proraso Products, and my brush loves them. This is a great lathering cream that Johnny turned me on to. The pre/post is superb, and I am really picky in this area.

A very nice, relaxing, day ending shave.
