The poll is self explanatory. Quite simply, do you shake your aftershaves or not? I did not but have started to do so. I notice a difference particularly with splashes that have a good amount of menthol in them. The RazoRock splashes all say to shake well before use. I don't notice that on a lot of other splashes. What say you?
Yes I do. I've iced several of my aftershave splashes, lotions and some balms. I began shaking them after I noticed the m-bomb separates the glycerine from the menthol. If the bomb separates, i figured most everything else would as well. So i shake.
About 40 years ago I remember reading the instructions on a tube of (I think) Aspercreme. It was a cream in a tube... Included in the instructions was shake well before using.
Hmmmm...what an interesting question. I had to vote Yes for two reasons. First, I have to shake my diy stuff as well as noted about. I use vitamin e as a carrier oil, so I have to do a little shake to blend from the small amount of separation that takes place. If I decide on a balm after some shaves, I shake the tube some for the same reason (so that first squeeze isn't all oil/moiturizer followed by the "body" of the balm lol. I don't, hower, shake my splashes when I decide to use one of them. I use the classics...old spice, av and I have almost all of the Pinauds. What, if any, benefit would I notice in shaking any of splashes of their nature?
Ogallala Bay Rums MUST be thoroughly shaken before use (LOTSA frag oils). But, any other brand, I don't bother shaking, not that I use splashes very much anymore.
Crap! I didn't know I'd have to take a Quiz today! No, I think. I never thought about it. I'm going to have to study this problem, form a committee, and develop a plan of action before I make a decision. So much for being retired!
