Wonderful shave but, I had forgotten how blade forward the EVO is and got a bit lazy around the neck, chin & jawline. No cuts or weepers but, plenty of irritation from the alum and out came the Nivea balm and it worked quite nicely, soothing and calming my skin within 30 minutes. Good stuff. A great evening and shaves to all...

After using the 46 - ?? Ranger Tech yesterday I can confirm these 2 razors are identical sans the handle. The first unique Super Speed is really the 2nd iteration version as seen below. End result close but no BBS cigar finish.

    WEDNESDAY'S SHAVE

Shampoo - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements - Big Shave S'West
    [IMG]
Razor - Rex Supply Co. "Ambassador" Adjustable Stainless Steel with matching stand
    Blade - [IMG] *8th Shave
Lather Brush - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements "The Green Ray" Faux Horse Hair
    Deodorant - Herban Cowboy "Unscented"
Shave Soap - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements - Big Shave S'West
Aftershave Balm - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements - Big Shave S'West Star Jelly
    Aftershave/Cologne - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements - Big Shave S'West

The Astra blade still shaved so smooth on that 7th shave Tuesday that I'm going to have a go at an 8th shave on the blade. Why change it when it finished that last shave so well? I might do a chill-mill shave. It sounds appealing despite being winter time.

The Triceratops has become one of my favourite shavers. This resin version with ornate handle just takes it to another level.

    Razor: Gillette Fatboy F4 1960
    Blade: Gillette Spoiler (2)
Brush: Grizzly Bay Oumo SHD Handmaster
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
    AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
    AS 2: Nivea Deep
Fragrance: BVLGARI Man in Black Essence

So to start off today with the extra whisker growth due to yesterday's less than BBS shave I decided to put a wet towel in a glass bowl and heat it in the microwave. After wetting my face good I applied a TRUE HOT towel which felt great and I feel helped me get the whiskers softened more than what I normally get since I don't shave after a shower (Evening Shower guy here) I then went with for another 1st using Mitchell's Wool Fat for the first time ever............................................I know, I know, I know.ALL these years of shavng this way and I somehow never got to trying it. I will say I guess I have better than average water or I was chosen or whatever I didn't have any trouble getting a nice lather that produced the legendary slickness and Have the post shave feel of my skin I hear about as well. The scent is an amazing oak, vanilla almost like a bourbon..............................................NOPE, just kidding, it's soap scent but a great shave was had. Today I was back to using 50+ year old Gillette's for that focus this week on the 30DC Crew at TSD. For that I have my 1960 F4 Fatboy found at the Flea Market for $3 and $50 more to get it redone in Rhodium. Paired with a 2nd use Gillette Spoiler and the whiskers were virtually jumping out of their follicles in fear. Topped with the Humphrey's, Nivea Deep and hit some shots of Man in Black Essence and I'm ready to tackle the day or let the day tackle me. Have a Stupid Fun Day Everyone !!
