Just purchased a 6/8 Vintage Tiger 27 6/8’’ Lauterjung & Co., Solingen Germany. The scales were damaged .Thinking of rescaling with Rams Horn. But I am afraid the scales may not due justice to the blade .Please give me your opinion.
    Thanks Mike

I think the blade needs to step up its game, to be worthy of the scales. Polished the blade up, and it should look great.

I agree with @DaltonGang . Polish that blade up and you'll have a gem :)

I plan on polishing up the blade to bring back it's class.Doc 226 from Bader and Blade brought up a good point about the weight of the ram horn scales. It would throw of the balance for using the razor. So I have to save the ram horn for a heavy beast of a razor. One of the moderators at badger and blade is gone to provide me with Tiger Maple scale blanks.

I would be mating the name of the razor with the Orange/Black G10 and create a "Tiger Look"
