I stropped the blade before and after the shave. My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Fine Snake Bite Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #273 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the AutoStrop A1 razor with a Valet AutoStrop blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Shave was as good as shave 4 but a few more cuts due to me being lax on the pressure during the shave because of the mild feel this has while shaving. I think I have the angle down now but need to work on the best way to hold and chop through the hair. This seems to want to be held towards the lower end of the handle and then control the pressure and angle from there the way the handle balance is designed. Either way this razor is thus far right there with the best performers I have and I haven't even figured out how to best shave with one of these injector thingies yet.

I have no idea how many shaves to expect out of a blade for these yet. Based on what I've seen others claim 8 - 12 shaves seems to be what to try for.

    I have bagged a Nickel textured G.
It looks mint, although the seller didn't include a case in the photographs.
    Are these Canadian products?

Great GEMonday morning with my lather catcher.
    Razor: GEM Junior Bar 1911>
Blade: GEM Personna SS PTFE (6)
    Brush: Razorock Plissoft
Pre shave: shower + Aloe Vera gel
Post shave: Razorock American barber + witch hazel
End results were OK using my lather catcher CCS,DFS,BBS and thats great! Gives my skin a slight rest and that's the beauty of milder razors IMO.

I must be heading for a fall becauseI have had a succession of good Shaves with different Razors. I thought yesterday that the Lather was good, but the Tabac was so rich and creamy that the Razor when removing it felt featherlike. I thought that yesterdays Shave with the Alu General was good, but the humble Hawk was so much better.

The geometry of the hawk is near perfect to perfect. None of my razors beat the hawk. Exception made for
my straight razors but that’s a totally different story.

    Gem MM Clog Pruf razor
    Gem Stainless blade
    Fine Classic Synthetic brush
    Morning TOST Shave Soap
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
M&L Florida Water cologne w/added menthol

Simply put, a pretty horrible shave this morning. The soap wouldn't give a decent lather and the razor felt like broken glass. Why I continued it is the question. To stubborn to give up I guess. My face is NOT happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

That's odd, I've not had lather issues with this soap. Wonder what is causing it? Hope you get it worked out.

I don't know if the blade is starting to go or if it was my technique but I did experience a little drag on the ATG pass and in turn a few nicks because of that. Other than that the shave was closer than the prior shaves thus far except for the 1st and 2nd shaves but those I over shaved my face for those not knowing how to use an injector.

    Wed 12th June

    The Grosvenor mixed [ 404 ]
    Williams Mug soap
    ES Claymore V1 / Bulldog 11 handle
    Schick Proline [ 4 ]
    Williams Aqua Velva A/S Lotion.

The Claymore is probably one of the heaviest AC/SE Razors , but I find that it does not hinder its performance. I consistently get smooth and comfortable Shaves with it, and the finish quality is up there with the best.Rather a shame that ES have not been able to get the latest version to the market place.
