I have two male blue jays who visit me when I sit on the porch, wanting peanuts. The jealous squirrels try to run them off so I haven't been able to get a picture of them.
These pictures were taken at the Artists Paintpots in Yellowstone NP. The portion of the loop trail around the pots is less than a mile. However, in this small area the diversity of the geology is amazing. Some pools/pots are clear; some are milky blue. Steam. Wonderful colors. These were taken with a Sony a58/Tamron 18-200mm.
