Sorry I never made that connection - I am not American so pound means something else. The knot - a silver tip @ 24mm. They are super dense and soft!!
I would go for it if I could afford it. Has anyone tried the Razorock aluminum version of their 400 Plissoft brush? I'm less interested in the knot than I am the handle. Just curious to hear from people who are familiar with both. $20 is more my speed at the moment, even though I think the Alpha looks amazing based on the pictures.

Wednesday morning August 22 PAL Adjustable on "L" / Schick Super Chromium (2) Vlasta's prototype Rubberset 400 copy T-400 with 24mm silvertip badger knot Jason's wooden Dry Dock shave bowl TOBS Mr. Taylor's shaving cream Alum and Thayers Witch Hazel Rose Petal and Lucky Tiger I have used Vlasta's aluminum Rubberset copy brush for about a week now with a variety of soaps and creams. I have found the weight to be comfortable -- the solid handle is not excessively heavy. The size and shape, of course, handle superbly just like the originals did. The finish is excellent with a ferrule that fits snugly but screws on and off easily. The silvertip knot he included with the brush seems good quality -- it hasn't shed a single hair, it's soft on the face and spreads to provide good coverage, but still has decent backbone. It has loaded and lathered well with everything from TOBS cream to MWF and a quite hard-milled soap. I'm giving this one a Thumbs Up.
I’m excited for my brush to show up! I’m glad to see others are enjoying them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
yes I noticed it had very little funk. Some but not stinky!! @Screwtape thanks for the kind words I have also been following in the 30 day focus thread and not the great posts for your daily shaves . All good. Just a few interesting points about the T-400: The neck is a little fatter than the original Rubberset The overall height is about the same The flutes are deeper for a better grip and longer The thread is a metric M26x1 and not an imperial thread. It is finer and in my opinion better The ferrule is internally threaded to allow the glue to get a better grip - same goes for the 26mm ferrules There is a lift setting aid on the 24mm ferrule (patent pending) and it will son be available on the 26mm ferrule Overall weight is a smidgen over 100g (4oz.) with the ferrule and the knot. Nice, but not heavy The material is 6063 corrosion resistant aluminium and the finish is anodised to avoid the corrosion problems that the Rubberset 400 has So all in all LIKE a Rubberset 400 but better. Subtly improved
