2/23 SOTD Tabac Tuesday! Merkur 34C / GSB(6) Satin Tip The Purest Tabac I love it when a Tuesday shave rolls around and I know I will be reaching for the Tabac! Such a phenomenal soap, 10 seconds of loading is all I need and then some! Learning from my last shave I went ahead and added a little more water to my lather and was again rewarded. The only way I can compare the consistency difference is like comparing cool whip in the tub (the thicker drier lather) and whip cream out of a can (slightly thinner and lighter). The GSB has finally gotten to the point where it is starting to tug a little, time to retire it. 6 comfortable shaves out of a blade, a record for me. The GSB is definitely worthy of a bulk purchase! SOTD (Planned) 2/23/2016 Razor - Gillette Short Comb Old Type (U.S. variant) Brush - Vintage badger re-knot Catalog - Recent antique shop purchase of a 1927 Eaton's dept. store catalog I've shaved and compared U.S. and Canadian Short Comb old type razors and can verify that the U.S. variants be it S.C. or L.C. offer a more aggressive shave. Opposite is true for the Tech's. These even more so than sold bar razor are susceptible to shaving angle on face. In the experienced hand a BBS is achieved with few passes.

The Club Cola lives up to the hype too, very fresh. The post shave feel is up there with the best as well.
