February 24 Weber Polished Head DE Feather (3) Kent BK4 silvertip badger Route 66 Lumberjack Alum, Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Fine Platinum 1961 Bulova "His Excellency" on a gator strap I enjoyed a great two-pass shave this morning. The Kent brush whipped up an excellent Route 66 lather, as usual, for near BBS results. I hope you all are having a terrific week.
Thursday's TESC Pre-Shave Oil Proraso Green Shaving Soap Semogue Owners Club Gillette Blue Tip Astra SP CWR, Asma Alum Block Thayers Rose Petal WH Aqua Velva Ice Blue The Proraso Green Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Semogue Owners Club boar brush. Two passes with my new Gillette Blue Tip razor and a Astra SP blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Aqua Velva After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
I'll be skimping on the menthol for Thursday morning: Nivea Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/Astra day 4 Mickey Lee Paradise Frost SS Italian Barber Amici AS I'm freaked out at how gorgeous this Paradise Frost soap smells and how wonderfully it lathers. Its menthol effect is very, very subdued but it can be felt slightly more on the second pass and a cold water rinse brings it out a bit more. This soap has excellent skincare which is also really important to me. I'm truly loving the Amici aftershave - its scent is fabulous, and it gives a more detectable cooling effect. The scent is also very long-lasting on me!
2/24/16 - Wool Fat Wednesday with the GEM G-Bar. Another great Wednesday with this soap. It is just so good. I'm a Fat Groupie!! The GEM G-Bar came out somewhere around the 1930's before the Micromatics I believe. A solid shaving razor that has the looks to boot! Mid/aggressive shave. A quick 3 pass shave before I had to run out the door so this is a short video without much talking. Here it is if you'd like to watch. I hope all you TSD members had a wonderful day!!!

Breaking out the big face freezers for tomorrow... Here's what's on deck Futur (setting 6) Yes I have 911 on standby don't worry/Lab Blue (2) Stirling Synthetic 26mm brush Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill Stirling SDM (super mentholated) This is what I will be using in the A.M. Uh Ray....Sharp Dress Man isn't cold.... well your right except on one of my orders I asked Rod if he could make my SDM splash as strong cold wise as the Glacials and he sent me a bag of menthol crystals and a warning. The warning said "this amount of crystals is about one and a half to twice the amount that's in the Glacials...don't add them all or your face may hurt. So I very carefully added the whole bag into my SDM splash. I have the Glacials and I have tried Cryogen and I can without a doubt say that this is colder then both and I love it. I'll report back how the shave went tomorrow after I finish defrosting in the microwave.

February Focus - German blades DONE! Best of the Best to the Finish! February 24 Razor - Nothing, nothing at all Blade - Nada, nope, none. Brush - Zip, zero, zilch Soap - None whatsoever Post - Nothing to follow up on. No shave this morning. They were predicting several inches of snow so I slept in a bit, then got up figuring I was running about an hour behind with traffic issues, jumped in the shower, threw on my clothes, grabbed my stuff and opened the door ready to fight my way to work. I had seen enough on the news to know that one of the major interstates was shut down due to power lines down across it. Horror stories on the roads south of STL and downtown. Funny, just a dusting here. And, when I headed west to work the snow totally disappeared within a mile. Narrow band that buried things 15 miles to the East and didn't touch us. Had plenty of time to shave, just wasn't smart enough to look out a window before getting ready. Oh well. Tomorrow I'll pick it back up and will be using the '59 Super Speed and the Treet Black Beauty carbon for two days. The plan called for the Super Max Super Platinum but when I went to my stash I discovered I don't have one. So, I'll use my favorite carbon blade instead.
