Did not think I would be able to after the surgery, but I managed to shave today ;)

    - RazoRock Mudder Focker
    - Semogue 1460
    - Merkur 34C
    - Polsilver SI
    - Tüff sensitiv Rasierwasser

My face is still swollen (I look like a Hamster actually), so shaving felt a bit awkward. But I still managed to achieve something between DFS and BBS with the Merkur. I haven't used this razor for quite some time ... which is a shame, because it it a great shaver! Didn't hurt myself, the Aftershave was very quiet - all is well ;)

    today's shave
hot water wash with a early lather and a washcloth
    Le Figaro boar
    Soap Commander endurance
Jonathan Crookes 5/8 full hollow spike
    Old Spice aftershave
today's shave was very nice. I prelathered while stropping instead of using a face soap. three passes for a great shave. finished with old old spice.
hope y'all did as well, or better.

I agree, sometimes it is better to go back to the puck for more lather. I never understood why that would be frowned upon, since like you said it brings more scent out which would be a plus.

    Razor: Personna Flexhead
    Blade: Ted Pella (2)
    Brush: VDH Badger
    Cream: Proaso White tube
    Preshave Oil: Shave Srcret
    AS: Dove Men + Care

Changing up a little on technique. I went ATG on 1st pass, surprisingly, it left very little stubble to deal with. Lathered fully instead the thin layer as before for the 2nd pass, WTG/ XTG and a very small amount of clean up. Another near BBS, oh how satisfying. Smooth all the way with Proaso.

Nice Primo. It's like wet shaving products info for the newbie. Should be the cover for "Wet shaving for Dummies"

    Friday Fortitude!

    Pre: hot shower/Proraso pre barba
    Razor: Hone 15
    Blade: Voskhod (1)
    Brush: Omega 48 boar
    Soap: SC Fortitude
Post: warm/cold towel; Lucky Tiger AS
    [IMG]

DFS today with this combo...the thirsty SC loves the giant O48 but whenever I decide to try a non-Feather blade in the Hone (even blades that work great for me in other razors), it's just not quite there. Like I said, not bad by any stretch but I know a Feather would've done better.

Overall another not bad shave. I like the Futur, but, can't call it a favorite just yet.

    Three Pass Shaving Routine...

Hot Water prep & massage with Argan Oil
Gem G Bar Junior Lather Catcher
    Star Cru Steel Blade
    Leon Hardy Pure Badger
    Monsavon Bol Tallow Soap
    Thayers Original Witch Hazel

I just had the most Wonderful Shave of my Life with My Gem G Bar Junior with an Original Cru Steel Stropping Blade Today..These Blades are just so Darn Comfortable & Smooth as Icing on a Cake..A Current Gem Blade Just isn't Fit to Lick their Boots..The G bar Junior is a Mild razor but with these Original Stropping Blades it about as Twice as Loud as a Current Gem Blade & a Darn Site more Comfortable..:angelic007:

The G Bar Junior with a Freshly Stropped Cru Steel Blade is more forgiving than a Modern Cardridge Razor..You can literally paint your face with this thing without any Burn or Irritation..The G Bar Junior shaves very well with a Current Gem Blade with a Full Gem Spine as Shim but it aint as Half as Smooth..This works well..But if you want the Best from your G Bar Junior then the Original Cru Blade is the Way to Go with the Traditional Stropping Methods..Around 40 Laps a Side after you shave & you are good to Go..I am using a Stropping Handle here but you can also get a hold of an Ever Ready or Gem 1912 Auto Strop that will Do the same Job..:p

The Post Shave Feeling with these Cru Steel Blades is Like Velvet..It feels Akin to the feeling after shaving with a Hollow Ground or Wedge Blade..You just cant get this Sorta Feeling with a Current Gem Blade in these Older Stropping Blade SE Razors..If you want the Best from your Older SEs this is the Way to Go..You will Reap the Rewards..I was laughing today when I was shaving with the G Bar Junior because this thing is over a 100 years Old & its more forgiving & Smoother than a Top Dollar Modern Cartridge System..:D

Oh..Yeah..A Darn Site more comfortable & Easier to use than that New-Fangled OneBlade..:eatdrink013:

    Frey's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, Nivea Face Wash
    Brush: Simpsons 56 Best Badger
Lather: Ginger's Garden Jasmine Oakmoss with clay and mango butter
Razor: Birth year/quarter Gillette Black Handle SS
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (3)
    Passes: WTG, CTG, XTG (7, 8, 9)
Post: Cold water rinse, Bloc Osma Alum, Thayer's Witch Hazel pad, Ginger's Garden Jasmine Oakmoss AS splash

Sorry I haven't been posting my SOTD much lately; I've got a couple final semester projects looming and my mother has been in and out of the hospital. I hadn't shaved in a couple days for this one; the GSB seems to work best for me with a bit more stubble, so that's not necessarily a bad thing. I apparently have to be sparing in how much I'll use the Jasmine Oakmoss, as it brings just enough heat to my face - unrelated to razor burn - that I've apparently a mild sensitivity to some combination of chemicals and scents in it. The first pass (with great lather) went very well, but for the second shave in a row, the first XTG pass brought a minor weeper to the divot under my bottom lip. Overall, I'd call it a DFS shave, but I doubt I'll be stocking up on any GSB any time soon.

At long last I was able to experience my first shave with the "Bunny " razor. It delivered a very smooth close shave! I'll add some details over at the east coast pass around thread. Have a great day everyone!
