  1. I like them a lot. In fact, I am getting fantastic shaves with no weepers or irritation. They are different than DE razors and take a few shaves to figure out, but are worth it. Go for it!

Received this beauty from @Omaney who donated it as a prize in the recent TSD raffle: http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/done-2nd-annual-support-tsd-raffle.49496/

As pretty as it is in NOS package from the 1970s, I want to use it, so I opened the package:

The razor is a beauty, perfect, and brand new! It didn't have an actual blade in it, instead there was a dull, unsharpened piece of metal that was the same size as a blade. I inserted one of the NOS blades into the razor and it went in perfectly, sliding on a thin film of oil.

Can't wait to use this razor!

    Thanks Omaney!
  3. Opened yesterdays packages.

    1) D4 Fatboy
    2) Fatboy case
    3) Two Merkur razor cases and American Blend - from WCS
    4) Sample shave milk - from TSD
    5) *Rosewood display/presentation case for my vintage razors - from Woodcrafters
    6) **2008 Topps baseball card set for grandson's collection - from Amazon

*If the display case works I plan on ordering several more. Looks like it will hold 6 cased razors. Good for organization and make it easier to pass my collection on to my son and grandson's.
** Baseball cards are a new project for my grandson's. Years back I bought yearly sets (1980-1995) for my son so I decided that I will do the same for my two grandsons. Start at their birth year (2007 and 2013) and purchase a new set every year. They don't know I'm doing this and I will give to them at their HS graduations. To date I have sets 2007, now 2008 and 2013.

  8. Is the E more agressive than the G?
  9. Well the inside looks pretty darn nice.

  10. I would say they are a little more aggressive. I prefer aggressive razors and blades, so that is probably why I like the E better. Great shavers!

  11. Thanks There are some cracks in the outer lid.
  12. Thanks. Just curious. I only have the one G1 and just starting to learn about the Schick line. I've added the Type F to my bucket list - just because.

  14. These are after polishing. I completely dismantled the 195 it was pretty clean inside. The one on the right, the seller said was from 1930. I thought it seems older. Any ideas? The Gem is really cool. Is it ever nicely made. It surprises me that they are so cheap and plentiful.

  20. I was at Walmart today and decided to pick up a $5.88 Wilkinson Sword Bristle Brush for my travels over the coming weeks. I wanted a cheap-o travel brush so I wouldn't have to risk losing one of my good brushes. Can't tell if this is badger, boar, synthetic or some kind of frankenbristle. :signs002: Any ideas? Doesn't really matter...it will do fine for my travel kit. Sorry for the stock photo...
