Special soaps for days of the week?

Sorry Jeff, I didn't mean to forget about you.

@crackstar has a special soap or cream he uses on particular days of the week - I think it's called MENTHOL

 

That's right, and it comes in quite a few variants!

 

I shave the back of my neck every second shave. I started way back before I switched to safety razors. My neck would get woolly long before I was due for a haircut so I started using the razor on my neck after a shave to keep it clean. I used Williams Shaving Soap for several years and I just whipped up extra lather to apply to my neck. Once I started using creams I soon discovered it was a little more inconvenient to add more cream at the end to generate more lather; not a big deal just slightly more time consuming. Therefore my only rule, if you will, is to rotate cream-soap-cream-soap, etc. I use a soap on days I shave my neck, cream when I don't. It's not a hard and fast rule but generally this is what I do. The selection of which particular cream or soap is random.

 

I just use a different one each day with no rhyme or reason as to the one I pick

 

Palmolive cream Monday - menthol
All other days is completely up to what I feel like at that moment.

 

I rotate and if I really liked today's selection, I may use it again tomorrow. I try not to have "Rules" to follow, besides I couldn't remember if it was Tuesday or Pittsburg!!!

I'm the same way. Do you get to enjoy all of them? Since you change them on every shave. For me in a way I do but then not because I wont see them again until years from the first use. Or I wont get to use all my soaps and creams. By the way total I have over 200 now.

 

They wouldn't be in the rotation if I didn't enjoy them. The only one I don't enjoy, thus it is not in the rotation, is Williams.
