SOTD 3/10 Merkur 34C / Gillette Super Platinum black (India) Satin Tip The Purest Arko Not a very comfortable shave today. Lots of tugging from the blade which caused me to stop after two passes. Got some irritation on the neck and overall not nearly as close as I would like . My second cold water shave with generally well regarded blade and noticeable tugging. I'm going to give this blade another shot with a warm water shave and see what happens, I think the cold water may be stiffening up my whiskers too much. Hoping you all had better shaves then I this morning. Have a great day everyone!
Maybe that blade just doesn't work for you buddy. Plenty of folks like Derby's but they are horrible for me. Just an example.
Unfortunately at this point I feel like I need to pin down the culprit, either the blade or the cold water. Its a gamble that may end up costing me another crappy shave. But hey, its all about learning what works best for each individual right ? I'm glad I have you all here to share my joy and my pain with on this fantastic journey!
