  2. Agreed, I sure hope tomorrow will be better for you Andrew I know how hard it sucks to start the day off on a bad shave...I shaved with a Derby a couple of days ago! :happy097:
  3. Razor: Gillette Super Speed Black Tip (X3) 1952
    Blade: Wilkinson (5)
Brush: Jayaruh JR #45 Walnut Honey Comb Handle. Knot is an Ace 24/70mm Synthetic.
    Soap: Route 66 Cavendish
    A/S: Fine L'Orange

Working up excellent lather with Route 66 soap and JR-45 brush. The Cavendish shave soap is lightly spiced cedar wood mingles with notes of bergamot, bay and fir; nicely balanced with the slightly sweet, warm aroma of Cavendish cut and cured tobacco leaf. Good stuff.

Every Man Jack mint face lotion
    Aqua Velva Original Sport

My first shave with the Bunny was very good. The razor lived up to the hype. It is a very efficient razor. I used the Mild comb and ended up Dolphin smooth. I look forward to the next while evaluating this razor.

  9. image.jpeg Razor: Gillette 195 Fat Boy (f1) 1960 (5) (3)
Brush: Rubberset 400 #3 WD 24/50 Silvertip (Jedi Lightsaber)
Mug: Old Spice (Belgium Mug 01) 1970s
Cream: Geo. F. Trumper's Coconut cream
    Blade: Feather (1)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black balm, Old Spice Lime original Shulton AS Frosted Glass 1960s

Put some Trumper's Coconut into my Belgium OS mug. That one was hard to find. Ended up getting it from a guy in Australia. My Jedi Lightsaber with its nice backbone whipped up some nice warm lather. The soft brush felt good on my face and I really like the way the handle feels in my hand. My FB is still my favorite razor and as usual, made quick work in 2 passes WTG XTG. A little touchup on my neck ATG on 3 and done. I had enough lather left over for another pass. The WH felt good, nice and cool. After cleanup some JB and when it dried, some Vintage Old Spice Lime from the '60s. Seams like yesterday. Have a good one y'all!
  10. Your cased Fatboy is gorgeous @ObiDon :love055:

  11. Congratulations with the str8! I don't use mine very often, because it does take more time, and a lot of concentration. One benefit I discovered is that my DE shaving improved. Win Win!
  12. Thank you! It was my first vintage razor, and still my favorite. I got lucky on the bay, as you see it, for $55 shipped.

  14. Thank you, guys ;) :happy088:
  15. Very nice setup and picture. And the Cavendish is my favorite Route 66 soap - wonderful scent. I only have a sample, so I use it very sparingly because I want it to last ;)

Sorry for my inactivity lately. The past two weeks I've been dealt a crap hand personal life wise but I wont go any further with that as this is a happy place :) . Don't know how much I will be on but I will try and post more. Hope everyone is having a great day and a great shave!
  18. What a lovely setup. So you use the preshave oil and the kmf? How does kmf lather?

Is there a difference in shaves between the red tip and the black?
