  3. In my opinion there is a difference between the Red Tip and the Black Tip. The Red Tip is more aggressive with a heavier feel and a great handle. The extra weight makes a noticeable difference to the shave IMO. The Red Tip is a superior shave. IMHO.

  4. The handle is aluminum on the black, correct?

  5. Some where aluminum, some where steel. Mine attracts a magnet and, therefore is steel.

  6. :thanks:Yes I use the pre shave under the KMF. it lathers like a dream, I wish everything lathered like KMF but it's also probably the slickest I've used. :)

  10. A stellar shave this morning with some of my favorite gear that I don't use nearly often enough

Wilkinson Kompakt - might just be the best cartridge razor made. It sure is an awesome one though.
Panna Crema Vetiver. No idea why I don't use it more often as it's such an amazing soap.
Old vintage Vulfix/Marshall Fields brush. One silverip that I don't find too lacking in backbone..it is decadently soft and I love the handle

Some Floid Blue A/S rounded it all off very nicely.

    Friday's
    ZCOLDWATER.jpg

    TESC Pre-Shave Oil
    Old Spice Lime SC
    Jayaruh #47 Synthetic
    GEM 1912
    CVS brand SE
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Rose Petal WH
    Pinaud

A note on these blades. They are the CVS brand blade. I believe they are the carbon steel Personna/GEM blade. I have been doing a belly strop with them this week. After rinsing the blade, I do eight strops on each side across my A-shirt covered belly. This completes the drying process to keep the blade from rusting.

The Old Spice Lime Shaving Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #47 synthetic brush. Two passes with my GEM 1912 razor and a CVS SE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Pinaud Clubman After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Alt Innsbruck AS Splash :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055::love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily::Animatedfrozensmily:

Except for the Alt Innsbruck I'll be going light and easy on the menthol. The Paradise Frost soap is not frosty at all, but it does give a very mild, discreet cooling tingle on the second pass, it smells wonderful and gives tons of awesome lather. The skincare from this soap is also very, very good. The Intesa gel is pleasantly-cooling and soothing, and it has a nice scent. The coldest part of the end of this shave is the Alt Innsbruck which is verging on being an iceberg - it's not there quite yet, but it's pretty damned chilly and I LOVE the scent! ;) :D

A great weekend to all in advance! :)
