My BSB-2 two band arrived today. Fresh out of the package Knot cleaned and ready for it's maiden voyage tomorrow.
A Try a Blade order, I'm looking for the perfect blade for my Flair Tip. I'm trying some Bolzano, Gillette Silver Blue, Ladas, Rapira Super Stainless and Swedish and Voskhod. I like the sharpness of the Feathers but I'm looking for the smoothest blade now.
Manual nasal clipper. The translation from Chinese to English is entertaining. This cuts hair without making a sound.
Got two more razors back from Mathis Restorations yesterday. The wood scaled one is my first SR. It had worm eaten scales that finally cracked, and a good sized chip in the blade. Mahogany scales with brass wedge and hardware. Second one is a Union Cutlery Co. KA-BAR 5/8 round tip. I posted a picture of it on their Facebook, and they said it was from the 1920s.
Get the correct blade pack for it and it's worth over 5x what you paid! Nicely done. Also the FB is my favorite razor, and I use 5 on my face and neck WTG, and 3 on my neck ATG, and it works great. I use a Feather blade, and hold the razor way out on the end with my pinky over the end, with a light touch to let the heavy head of the FB do all the work. YMMV but it's easy to chase the baby with the FB. Congratulations
Three packages arrived today. The Knack was a second shipment were the seller left it out of a lot I bought. The Single Ring was a deal and the Schick G-5 I had to get, because I don't have one The Single Ring has an early 1907 serial number and was black. It was my most difficult silver razor cleanup yet, but is cleaning up nicely and will get some use.
Thanks, that was a $30 dollar find, but was rough. Lot of surface rust, and the scales had no sheen and lots of scratches. In addition to cleaning and polishing the blade, he spent some time on the scales. They look even better in person.
