Head holds the blade tight and there is no flex on the blade. It shaves like 34c, i like aggresive heads and used with permasharp, on three pass, result is nice and clean shave.

A note on these blades. They are the CVS brand blade. I believe they are the carbon steel Personna/GEM blade. I have been doing a belly strop with them this week. After rinsing the blade, I do eight strops on each side across my A-shirt covered belly. This completes the drying process to keep the blade from rusting.

The Old Spice Lime Shaving Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #47 synthetic brush. Two passes with my GEM 1912 razor and a CVS SE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Pinaud Clubman After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I can remember when I was happy with a tub of Proraso.... Not anymore it seems, now I wonder if I'll ever use up any of my many soaps. Having said that I'm buying this one!

So does my Lady Friend. She gifted it to me.

Really didn't think this would go well at all today. Been quite ill since the weekend, so six days growth and I'm probably not even 50% yet - had to get it off my face though, hate having stubble now.
Shaky start which left me with a weeper at the side of my lip but I'd expected more. First time with Soap Commander but it's got what I'm looking for as well as a heavenly scent, more akin to wild roses. I'm immediately taken to a favourite summer fishing spot.
Well pleased with the result. Now I think I'll go back to bed.
