This Blue Tip is an efficient but mild razor. It took my two day beard right off in two passes with just one spot to touch-up. I think after three years of wet-shaving I've found my Holy Grail, my axe, my Excalibur sword!

Tried out a Derby Extra blade in the Blackbird and it worked well. Pretty smooth, plenty sharp and no irritation. 3 passes resulted in a DFS.

    Prep: warm wash with Kirk's
    Lather: IanS (hobbyist soap)
    Brush: RR Plissoft
    Razor: Blackland Blackbird
    Blade: Derby Extra (1)

But what made this shave special was the introduction to the realm of Chatillon Lux Aftershaves with Delor de Treget!!! Wow!!!

I received all the samples yesterday and decided on this one first which is described as being representative of the Humble Magnificents of Saint Louis.

A scent that starts off with a citrus spritz of bergamot and a nice dose of woodsy cedar wood. But finished off with the leathery scent of Labdanum that stays. Wow!!!

I really like the history and story of the old South Saint Louis that is intertwined into each of the aftershaves. Fabulous!!
I'm looking forward to trying the rest. :)

Tea time. I used my new "Made in England" razor today. Get it? Tea time.....England.... Lol. Even though the razor isn't in the best condition, it performed on par with any 40s SS.

PS, no I did not lather in the tea cup. The wife would kill me.

  19. Thank you my friend. The handle is my favorite, it provides a lot of versatile control so it's great for pairing it with different heads. Maggards has some killer stuff it's the MR5. :)
