March into Artist Club Blades March 19 Razor - Feather SS Blade - (5) Brush - Vie Long 12601 The Pony Soap - Tabac Post - Cold water, Alum, Nivea, The Veg Fifth day on the Pro blade and it's still as sharp as ever from what I can tell. However, as it has in the past, it seems to be mellowing out just a bit. It's still producing the same reduction and it's still ready to create irritation and blood if mishandled, but it feels a bit smoother each day. No major issues today. One close call when I set down wrong but I actually caught it just as I touched down and avoided a cut. I saw the angle out of alignment and probably pulled up about 1/100th of a second in time to avoid a nice one. This blade is absolutely unforgiving on mistakes like that, mellow or not. My plan is to go one more shave with this blade and then change gears for a few shaves. Still using the pain stick but.......Ivan and Yuri arrived at my door screaming with joy (and after a lot of vodka) and carrying the package from South Korea I've been waiting for. Monday I'll face a new challenge with the pain stick and these......... You are not hallucinating. Those are indeed AC blades from none other than Dorco. According to @Keithmax they are somewhat of a, well, let's say challenge. And, he asked if I'd be willing to try them as long as I promise to share pictures of thebloodbath BBS shaves that they will no doubt totally fail to produce. I've never backed down from a challenge yet, so why start now? After all, (say it with me now).......what's the worst that could happen?
SS PSO & Strop Shoppe S.E. Omega #248, unmarked bowl Torrey 5/8 & Kramperts AS In my on again/off again relationship with Pre Shave Oil, today I chose ON. Fans of bayrum may enjoy Shave Secret just for the scent. Strop Shoppe with tallow works well as soap, but didn't impress me with it's lightly scented offerings. If there's any left get ya some. Marvy's box on the Pro Series boar brushes are number one in my book. This one is softer than my one badger brush and lathers big time. This round point straight cleaned up so well and shaves reliably. Torrey's earned their reputation. They keep my alum block quiet. Then there's Krampert's Finest. I'm still trying to decide if I like it. Good face feel but maybe with less cloves. Good shaves to Ya'll.
Your children and grand children will thank you. One of my fathers bits of wisdom, "The best time to plant a tree is twenty five years ago." His orchard had navels, satsumas, morrow (blood orange), Texas sweet, kumquats, lemons, pecans, Mexican & Japanese plums, figs, grapes, persimmons, thornless blackberries, & I'm sure I've forgotten some things.
Well - our "orchard" is not that big We have a sweet cherry tree, a green and a yellow plum and an apple tree. We rely on the plants in our neigbour's gardens for pollination. No kids though - but I hope we have enough time left to see it all grow

Razor: Schick SE Blade: Perma-sharp (1) Soap: Proraso Eucalyptus & Menthol Brush: Vie-long Horse Hair AS: Proraso Eucalyptus & Menthol This razor is the mildest razor I've ever used. I couldn't properly shaved myself even after two passes. Especially in the neck area there was still hair. I won't use this razor in further shaves.

Went with Palmolive Classic this morning and it's awesome. This cream exploded into rich, creamy, slick, goodness as soon as it hit the face and I love it's scent which is so familiar to me. The Ladas felt super sharp in the Evahs which I've really fallen in love with and in three passes provided dolphin smooth results. Have a great shave and a great day folks.
Very nice setup Can, I'm sorry this razor didn't work well for you but I'm happy you have many others to choose from. Your horse hair brush is .

This Bergamotto Neroli soap from Tcheon Fung Sing has about the same lovely scent as the Don Marco soap which is an orange creamsicle type. It lathers great and gives a very refreshing and comfortable post-shave feeling. The Aqua Velva was a wonderful finish to a good, close shave. A new blade for tomorrow!
Prep - Woods Of Windsor Cedar Woods soap / Pre-lather / 3 min steam Razor - Gillette Rocket HD Blade - Perma Sharp Super (#2) Brush - J.F.Martin "Tiny" 30mm HMW Soap - Phoenix & Beau Sanskrit After - Frozen towel / Brut Original A/S Result - Dolphin Smooth Finally I get around to the P&B Sanskrit! I knew I wasn't going to be disappointed with its performance, as there's already been so much buzz about these new guys on the block. The lather is just ridiculously thick, with all the cushioning and glide you'll ever need. The all important post shave feel is up there with XPec and Wickhams. The scent is incredible too, definitely a winner in my book!
