Menthol Monday Very chilly to start the week. The soap lathered up very thick and slick, protecting my skin while the Futur reduced my stubble. I did get a little burn on my neck, but it was my fault for doing a touch up when I really should have left well enough alone.
A beautiful, killer-cold shave for Menthol Monday with my Glacial Spearmint soap and the combination of the Diana balm and Arctique aftershave left me frozen so much that I almost felt disoriented!
SOTD Mon. 3/21/16 Pre Shave Cleanser: Noxzema Classic Pre Shave Oil: Shave Secret Shave Soap: La Toja Shave Stick Shave Brush: Semogue 620 Boar Razor: Maggard V3A Head/MR5 Handle Blade: Rapira Platinum Lux After Shave Balm: Stirling Mita Soap: Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap Cologne: Acqua Di Selva by Visconti Di Modrone Good morning friends. Wonderful shave this morning with the V3A...efficient yet comfortable. The Rapira PL worked beautifully and was both sharp and smooth. Absolutely love La Toja Shave Stick, it provides perfect lather and although the scent isn't super strong it's adequate and lovely. The Semogue 620 is a top notch brush and has become my go to, it just lathers everything effortlessly. Have a great shave and a great day guys.
SOTD March 21, 2016 Menthol Monday! Prep: Warm shower Blade: Chinese Schick Razor: Schick G1 injector Brush: Satin Tip 'The Purest' synthetic Lather: Proraso Green shave soap Post: Witch hazel splash, TSD SubZero after shave, Nivea sensitive balm WTG, touch-up Nice shave this morning. The cold snap here in temperatures (lows 30s F at the moment) added to the chill of the menthol theme! The cold water shave did too. But overall a nice CCS with one pass and touch-up. This is my third consecutive shave with the G1 injector. It performs really, really well. I like it. I'll go back to my open comb tomorrow. I will also be trying out some products from the Nationwide Tour Box that should arrive today. That's exciting! Feeling nice and cool on this Monday. I hope you all have a great day!
Hello TSD. I think today I had my best straight razor shave so far: - Route 66 "Sweeney Todd" - Whipped Dog High Mountain Badger - Gold Dollar 208 - Tüff sensitiv Rasierwasser - Pinaud Clubman 20 laps on the paddle strop ... and I went straight to business I took @Bama Samurai 's advice and used just a little more water with the soap - I think that worked quite well. After two passes WTG and XTG I had so much lather left that I decided to go for a third pass ATG. And guess what: It worked pretty well! I did not cut myself and the result was even better than my first attempts with a safety razor. I'd say DFS, most areas of my cheeks are BBS actually. The Aftershave stung quite a bit more than I'm used to, but I guess that will improve along with my technique. I still haven't figured out the correct razor handling around some areas of my neck and the jawline, but I am able to use both hands now without too many problems. Everyone have a great day

Roger, since you appear to be a member of the Shick Repeating Razor Owners Cub(and a proud one, I presume!), I may invent the "Sensor Pivot + Repeating Razor Owners Club . If I turn out to be the only member-well, fiddle-de-dee.
