  1. Ever have one of those weeks? Several issues, mostly other peoples problems, have taken me off in three directions all at once and not by my choice. One even gave me a two day long headache, and I rarely get those. I'm glad I don't FaceBook because this must be what a drama filled life feels like.
Hoping to get back to life on my terms soon.
  2. I have no control and I can't get the angle.
  3. Keep going a little each day. It will just happen. I did it all of March last year, no right hand at all... It was rough at first, but it came eventually.

  4. Whenever I get to that point, I remind myself that life can ALWAYS get worse, and remember to be grateful for all the average days that I cursed along the way. Other people and their problems do have a way a consuming large blocks of time. I hope you have a good weekend, and come out full strength on Monday.

During March I’m focused on two Schick E type razors:
a Canadian E and a US E2, while also trying out different blades with each.

Took time out from the Focus to honor the 102nd anniversary of the patent on the 1914 EverReady. I don’t own one so I used the closet thing I had yesterday - the 1912 Gem Junior. I’m using the 1924 EverReady ‘Shovelhead’ tonight.

    Two-pass shave - XTG, ATG

Yesterday the 1912 GEM left me clean enough for a two-pass today. These old SEs sure let you know they are working, even with a very shallow angle. The ‘ping’ of each whisker being sliced is a bit unnerving, but the cushion/glide of this great soap is an excellent match and results in a very close shave - 99% BBS.

Shaving at night due to an early start tomorrow to attend the Washington State presidential caucus. I’m sure I’ll still be close shaven, with absolutely no irritation…

…but I will still be ‘feeling the bern’ all day! ;)

    Cheers!

  8. Joan Jett doing AC/DC would have been cool.
  9. Thank you Vince. Reality is that I was just too cheap to purchase the nice one off Etsy. Figured this works for what I need.

  15. Figured I've been gone so long I had to have something to show for it.
  16. I like how you think. Wonder if my fiancee would buy into that argument . . . I'm doubting it.

A very relaxing shave this morning. I am testing another prototype handle for a friend. This WDC-8 "Cub" is a solid brass handle with a 26mm x 15mm deep hole. The weight at around 150 grams is very nice with a secure grip. For testing purposes I transplanted the Sunrise Synthetic knot from the WDC-6. The brush easily whipped up the MW Orange Vanilla into a great slick lather. Just going with a traditional 3 pass shave provided a near BBS shave. Since it's Saturday and I had the time and lather, I decided to chase the baby. After very minimal touch ups, I ended with catching the baby. Finished up with a splash of F&C Capri. Overall an great shave with products that work well for me. I hope everyone has a fantastic Saturday.
