  2. MONDAY
The rare DE shave this morning—using a vintage Gillette Gold Tech.
It has been a while since I've used a safety razor, but these Techs are such mild shavers, 'twas no issue in my getting a smooth 3-pass shave.
MdC lather and homemade bay rum aftershave finish. :happy088:

  17. image.jpeg Razor: Merkur 34c HD 2014
Brush: Fuller Amber Badger 1920s -1940s
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
Cream: Seifenglatt Shaving Soap 'Barber Shop'
    Blade: Feather (2)
Pre shave: Tree Hut Shea Mango
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Neutrogena Balm, Tommy Bahamas Martinique

The Merkur 34c HD was my first DE razor, and does give me some burn if I over buff, but you can get away with doing that because this razor is so mild. The Seifenglatt is very soft like a croup. Nice scent with a hint of liquorice not too strong. Lathers up well with the Badger. I screwed in the Feather, and checked the alignment and was good to go for my first pass WTG. A little rinse to see how we are doing and relather for a XTG pass on my face and ATG on my neck. Some more lather for touch up on my neck and we are done. Warm water rinse and pat dry. Some WH and after cleanup some Neutrogena Balm. Nice smooth shave with just a little burn. Now for some Tommy Bahamas Martinique. It's like being in the islands! I feel Summer coming!! I think Jimmy heard me.......

  19. Thank you my friend :) This razor is among my favorites, effective and easy to use. In every shave we use different products from different origins without noticing.
