SHAVE OF THE DAY Prep: Musgo Real Oakmoss Razor: Maggard MR 18 Blade: Persona blue med Prep (1st shave) Brush: Ever ready Badger-lon Soap: SV Mana Di Sicilia Aftershave: Myrsol Aqua Balsamica Balm: Gillette instant hydration 2 pass shave today. This was the first time i used all cold water, making lather, rinses and everything. This was my first go with the Med Prep blade, they are very smooth. I was highly surprised how good these blades are. The SV soap made a nice lather and has excellent post shave, almost felt like there was lotion on face when I rinsed the lather off. My face is still red from a few shaves ago. I should take a few days off from shaving, but that is easier said than done. BBS finish, ended the shave with Aqua Basalmica, I may end up getting a full bottle once sample is gone. Very soothing and has a unique herbal scent. Hope everyone had a great shave!
SOTD 3-31-16 Gave the Gillette Spoiler blade another shot today. Result was another BBS. But today I nicked a pimple near my mouth and had a weeper and some irritation on a portion of my neck. Overall a great shave! These blades are top notch. Hopefully I can find more for an affordable price
I was worried it would be hard to make a lather with the cold water, but it worked surprisingly well. Plus the cold water feels nice and seems to cut down on irritation.
