Monday's TESC Pre-Shave Oil Speick Shave Cream Jayaruh #56 synthetic Gillette Goodwill LC Personna Super CWR, Asma Alum Block Thayers Rose Petal WH Speick After Shave The Speick Shave Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #56 synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Goodwill LC razor with a Personna Super blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Speick After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Jim, I see you're sticking with the Speick cream. You mentioned it left you with a stinging feeling. Did that go away eventually?
Yeah, it goes away. I've got four more shaves planned with the Speick then I will be changing to something else. I haven't decided what is next yet.
Monday Planed Shave(in sentence form): I'm devoting this week to my two Chiseled Face aftershaves(Sherlock and Midnight Stag). It's approaching time for me to put my Clubman and AV Musk down until the fall. As I wrote in an earlier post today, I find that it does indeed take longer than one would think to go thjrough even 3.5 oz. of A.S. And I begin to look ahead to the arrival of.....HUMIDITY"(yuch), and dealing with that. Hopefully a small Skin-Bracer) and a TSD purchase will help me with that. And I do look forward to riding the Stirling bandwagon )). Let's see, where was I. OH YES, tomorrow's shave! I'll do the Dial 4 Men in the shower(the prep will change too, as it gets warmer). My beloved Rise Super Foam for the cream-then the Chiseled Face(I'll begin the week with the Midnight Stag.). The razor? The reliable Sensor-mobile. Thank you, and God Bless America(and TSD!)

Tonight's shave addendum: Loaded up a Voskhod in the BBS-1, couldn't remember if that was a good combination. At first I thought it seemed a bit rough but after a couple more strokes everything was fine. With the Manna di Sicilia's creamy lather I got a true BBS shave all round. Generally there are a couple of BBS- areas, but tonight the Voskhod was top notch. Of course the post shave from the SV aftershave is outstanding. No irritation, velvety smooth skin. Nice. This is what a great wet shave is all about. Note: I love the barber handle on the Shavemac, and I may prefer this knot to my new Simpsons Manchurians. Sweet dreams. ICED WATER SHAVE SOTD Mon. 4/11/16 Pre Shave Cleanser: Noxzema Classic Pre Shave Oil: DG Vitamin E Oil Shave Soap: La Toja Shave Stick Shave Brush: Semogue 620 Boar Razor: 1970 P4 Gillette Black Beauty (9) Blade: Sputnik/Personna Lab Blue After Shave Balm: Stirling Mita Soap: Grandpa's Sandalwood & Shea Soap Cologne: Avant-Garde by Lanvin Good morning guys. La Toja Shave Stick Monday @GatorJoe inspired. This morning i gave the Sputnik blade another try and they just aren't my favorite. They are plenty sharp but after my first pass i had to toss it and reach for a PLB to finish up. Something about this blade makes my skin feel like it's burning, very uncomfortable. I had a wonderful shave regardless and ended up dolphin smooth again thanks largely in part to the iced water it just does wonders for the skin. The black beauty is so much fun to shave with and so well balanced. La Toja provided yogurty, slick, creamy goodness to keep my face protected. Finished with more icy goodness from my Stirling MITA balm. Have a great shave and a great day friends.
