4/12/16 - evening head shave

I decided to put my new Gillette 166 (that's what I paid for it - $1.66) to use in having a nice evening head shave. It did a fantastic job of slicking up my scalp in 2 easy passes on 5.

Prep: warm wash
Lather: Route 66 Lumberjack

Tuesday Shower/Shave

Shower- Noxzema facial cleaner, Dr. Bronner's All-One Hemp Peppermint bar soap

I think I ran into my first bad blade tonight. While I was tired last night I don't know how much of my bad shave was the blade and how much was my lack of sleep. I used ice water again tonight, the best, and built up a fantastic lather. About 5 seconds into the shave the blade felt rough, just like last night. I swapped in a new blade, re-lathered, and started over. This was more like it. 3 passes and I'm DFS+, I missed a small area under my chin but didn't chase the baby. I rinsed off with ice cubes and quickly dried and applied the Thayers, great cooling feeling. I can't wait until my M-Bomb arrives to really being the cold. Have a great day folks!

I couldn't complete the shave with the razor shown in the picture. It doesn't bend the blade the has an extreme blade exposure, the most aggressive razor I've used so far. I've finished the shave with the New Baili Razor.

Good morning friends. Fantastic shave this morning with the RR Jaws OC, very smooth shaver and efficient also. The iced water and Palmolive Cool Menthol provided a face freezing comfortable shave this morning and it's very welcomed being that it's feeling hot and humid in these parts. The MITA balm finished things off with more icy goodness and i'm a happy boy. Have a great shave and a great day guys.

Yep, bad blade for sure, nothing in your lineup or routine has changed and no operator error either. I've gotten a few bad ones myself, when in doubt always change it Ben. Nothing worse than suffering through a torturous shave.
