Add a third one to the list. I saw the new Proraso Aloe & Green Tea shave foam in shoppers drug mart in Canada, picked up a can and tried it for the first time this morning.

It's been a couple years since I saved with anything in a can and I didn't really expect much but was AMAZED at what a great shave it gave me. So surprised in fact that it might give Proraso Red a run for the money. It didn't leave my face quite as moisturized as the Red does, but I think the slickness and cushion were better.

I've never tried Aveeno but have gone through a lot of Noxzema Medicated over the years and don't think it's in the same league as this one.

I'm looking froward to trying the tub version of this now, and hopeful that there will be life after the Red is all gone.

well, I've seen the Proraso Green Tea and Aloe foam here, but I won't buy it. To me, foam is foam.

A very wise man is talking here, it is 20+ years of wetshaving slapped in your face when this man opens his mouth. when he does im quiet and just listen

every product or brand out there im sure he tried the most of it .

as I agree with Jeff here its not a bad thread offcourse me ill never go back not even if Id be all alone in a jungle. the key point of a good shave is you need water no matter if its Gel's or foam are handy because your in a nick and there is no store /shop or your lost in the jungle. with a tiny bit of effort all you need is a small badger brush and a cake of soap water can be found in the jungle even.

for me going back or checking canned chemical baths is NOT an option.

done it, wear the T-shirt to proof it... its OVER. SS and SC all the way.
Most barbers tell me the canned stuff its so bad it NUMBS the skin more then actually softening the whiskers nice anesthetic there Gillette...

Im sure the stuff can work and would work if you know what your doing and your in a nick my solution would be carry a small bottle of shave oil pre-wet the face with hot water then rub some shave oil in it and then the shave canned stuff over it but the  part of it is some men will simply wake up not even wet their face simply spray the gel or foam over the beard..wait why wait to let the stuff work the beard... no we are in a hurry lets do this in 3m time. hey no wonder you hate shaving !

but let me stop here blood pressure illness is a bad thing... ;)

Aveeno is good. Nivea for Men is somewhat decent as well.

Boubi, even though canned foam and gel may have a few ingredients in them which may be similar to what traditional products have, they over all contain other ingredients in them that are potentially harmful, or at best, of no benefit whatsoever. Armand now realizes our way has always been the best, and he wishes he could have started it sooner. Just for the record, I'm 54 as you know, and I took my 1st shave at the tender age of 14 with a brush, so mama mia, I've been doing it for over 40 years-geez, it's been fun!!!!!!

My .02 worth...I've tried just about all the canned stuff in my 25+ years of shaving. The only ones I've ever been happy with were/are Edge For Tough Beards (discontinued years ago) and the Barbasol Beard Buster lineup of foams, with the exception of the new and annoyingly astringent Pacific Rush variety. I'm still using up my collection of Barbasol (Cool Menthol is my favorite) and find that it works very well for me, but only when applied with a brush in the same manner as with other types of lather. This, of course, makes it not much more convenient to use than soap or creams...saving only the couple of minutes needed to whip up a batch of lather.

L'Occitane makes cade in a can. I was going to get a sample but it foamed all over my pocket.

Smells good and seems to be pretty slick.

I know that my brother swears by Aveeno.
I'm trying my first canned product in a loooong time - the Nivea Sensitive Gel. It needs frequent moistening, but I'm getting very nice shaves with it. Saves a little time in the morning, too.

Haven't posted in a good long while here, but i noticed this thread and had to reply. I'm surprised no one has mentioned "Every Man Jack" shave gel. I've been using it for months now and I am getting the best shaves in years. It's very lubricating and has pretty decent ingredients.
